Yup, its because they are back to elites.  Good old regenerating shield elites that run for cover when their shield is down.  Unlike those Brutes with fixed amounts of armour that you could just plasma pistol down in a second.

Get yourself the Stormtrooper helmetand colour yourself in the white, like me!  Together, we will conquer the galaxy! Mwuahahaha!

PS3 controller for me.  I have both but, seeing as I play a lot of Pro Evolution Soccer, the 360 is just garbage.  You need the D-pad for good headers and the 360 controller lacks one.  Not to mention, it requires extensive use of the Bumper buttons and holding onto them for long periods of times is painful as they are orientated very oddly.  However, The Sixaxis controller is toooooooooo light.  DS3 is way better.
