"Doom’s single-player campaign is an Iced Earth album cover brought to digital life."
This is perfect. I felt exactly the same! Its like The Dark Saga or Burnt Offerings brought to life. This is the perfect Doom analogy. You sir have won the internet today. I tip my hat to you Charles Webb of Mafia 3!
@drewbert To answer your loading question. It can be a little different depending on the application but the reason why it isn't just a straight linear path is basically because its more work that no one really about. There have been exceptions I have seen though.
So the reason why the loading might jump 50% then slow its way to 60% then jump again, etc is actually based on the actual size of the files being loaded. When you see a big jump, it probably means a big file just got done loading. When you see the load bar start to crawl, it means there are a LOT of really small files currently being loaded. You might already know this part, but hard drives in general are much quicker at loaded the big single files and much slower the small files in mass quantity.
@austin_walker: Ah true, I do remember you saying that indeed. But at this point it seems like they aren't going to say anything about it until E3 right? We are only a month out and how much worst could the messaging get in a months time from where it is right now? Unless something else new leaks that is.
@austin_walker can you really blame Sony for the messaging on the PS4 Neo when it was your article that created the need that messaging to happen in the first place? I mean, I'm sure Sony had a plan for the Neo stuff and probably worked on the creating the perfect message for a while. But after your article they would have to go back to the drawing board because of the nature of the leak and the response that built up around it so quickly.
I mean, obviously with the article you were doing your journalistic duties, I personally think it was great! (go Scoops Walker!) but to harp on Sony for not responding to that thing that came out of no where at them? hmm I don't know. Would love to get your feedback on this!
