metal gear solid rising was confirmed to be a stealth/espionage game (THANK GOD!!!) on Kojima Productions' after E3 podcast. i asked the same thing when i saw that the subtitle said Lightning Bolt Action rather than the usual subtitle. apparently it's only to show that the main character for (what i hope is) a new series of games which are prequels to the story.
