There was fire in the eyes of everyone. There was a real "we're making it happen, in this basement" vibe

Absolutely I get where you're coming from. And they had a real ambition to make some high quality produced content. You saw that with shows like TANG. I love the stuff they do now, but I would love if we got a little more of that old Giant Bomb feel.

Well the y axis is only social issues, so this has you as a social liberal, but also a fiscal liberal. Whereas "Libertarians" seem to mostly identify as socially liberal fiscally conservative.

Yeah, I don't really think I'm much of a Libertarian so I dunno.

I think it's pointless. But at the same time, it's an excuse to hear the guys' opinions about an entire generation's worth of games, and that sounds awesome. so I'm for it.

TNG makes such good use of its somewhat humble production values. They build up so much tension with almost no action it's brilliant. A great example of this is in The Ensigns of Command. The central conflict is resolved through Picard's clever interpretation of a confusingly-written treaty. It's amazing that something like that is made to be exciting.

My personal favorite episode is Darmok. I love how in TNG people are willing to risk their lives for the possibility of establishing friendly ties with new races. So much more interesting than constant 'splosions and fights with the "bad aliens."

I went back and played it after being shocked that Jeff hates it. But damn. He was right. It does not hold up.

The show is fine. If you don't like listen to it, stop listening. No reason to whine about it.

The knee-jerk reaction of "don't like it? stop listening." is obnoxious. You don't send them a message by not listening. Trust me. They won't notice. It's perfectly reasonable to air your complaints about changes to the thing you have enjoyed and want to continue enjoying. If you disagree with his reasons, fine. State why.
