To know or not to know…

Now I’m going to start 2 new games I will be facing this dilemma again. Do I want to know the achievements before I start the game, or do I want to be ‘surprised’ when I get them?
Lately that’s the way I was going with achievements… I wanted to be surprised. For the first playthrough I’d never look the achievements up, because it takes some of the fun and ‘surprise’ away. And in a worst-case scenario the story might get spoiled because of an achievement title.
But what has been irritating me is that when I looked at my achievements after the playthrough, I would find some I missed and started facepalming. I would have easily gotten that! Now it is going to take me another playthrough!
What?! there are difficulty achievements? Well, if I knew that I wouldn’t have played on mode X. damn you to hell, difficulty achievements! (and collectible achievements can burn in hell too!)
Now it’s decision time again… Will I look up the achievements for Bulletstorm and Dragon Age II or not… Hm…
It would be easy if someone just told me, but unfortunately no-one reads this blog!
