I mean there was certainly a time when at least it had a perceived prestige to it. I think it began to erode once every gaming outlet sort of decided to just livestream every second of it and fully reveal how the sausage is made but there was a time in its history when it was this mystical gaming mecca that everyone wished they could go to not knowing that actually it's just kind of an interesting nightmare in practice.
Like it's a little sad but in a way like if I learn a business near me closed down that I've never been to and only heard bad things about but I've sure heard of it for a long time.
I can't say what he planned or whether he ever intended any actual malice but I do feel pretty confident that this money would still be limbo now and who know for how long had Karl and Muta not come in and made such a public stink about it.
Which again is not outrage for outrages sake. It's somebody going hey what the fuck is going on here? and then a bunch of people rightly saying Yeah what IS going on here??
From what I know of Jobst he seems more on the annoying internet edgelord side of things than the Actual Monster side that we have to contend with more and more often.

Yeah I dunno... I had both for most of their lifespans and ultimately I sold my Xbox One because it was just never used and I preferred to stay on PS4 most of the time and it kind of ended my entire run of Xbox consoles.
For me its lasting legacy was to give me my go-to controller to use on my PC.
At the moment, they do not do that and you can buy a Complete Edition already for $60. If you didn't want to fully commit you can also buy the Starter Edition for $20 which includes the base game and the first two expansions.
I do not expect that this policy would change if it comes to Xbox, except for potentially adding additional expansions to the Starter Edition as later ones are released.
