Played quite a bit of Drakensang today, liking it this far, very polished for a small PC RPG.
Has its flaws tho, the story seems either generic or non-existing, the whole gameworld is built on cliches, the ai needs constant baby sitting, lot of backtracking, the leveling system is a bit weird, 12 hours in I'm still using the same armor/weapon from the beginning of the game and dialogue/npc relations are very shallow. But somehow it's still managing to hook me pretty badly.
Last time I upgraded my rig with a new mobo etc. I also started getting random BSODs. Was certain something was broken, I was testing ram, connections, cooling etc. Turned out it was just my outpost firewall causing it. Google is your best friend.
I'm using Comodo Internet Security right now, it has AV, Firewall and other crap in one package. It's not as automatic as some of the better soft and not sure how efficient it is, but at least it's free. For spyware I've found SuperAntiSpyware to be great, for proper clean up it's best to do a manual scan with different ones.
I actually agree with that, with movies the best I can do is name the best comedy, horror, action etc. and with music I can't even limit it to genres. The Weird thing is that with games I don't have that problem, Fallout2 is my favourite and that's that.
I'm not sure what you mean exactly, easier how and what's more creative? Only difference I've noticed between my male/female characters is that my male ones tend to be more generic, you know the goodie goodie archetype human hero with practical gear. While my female hero is always a cold hard bitch and most of my time goes to picking the best looking armor for her.
Good to see someone else liking NWN2 as well, the game gets a lot of hate and I can't say it's completely unwarranted, but even with the countless flaws I think it's the best rpg this gen. Fallouts are my overall favs tho, the combat system puts them above Arcanum and Planescape, plus I really like the setting. Surprised to hear people diss kotor so much, it might have started the trend for shallower rpgs but it had a very good story, characters, presentation and gameplay, even if lot of the appeal came from the star wars license.
Wouldn't really call FO3 a FPS, but whatever. For me:
1) Half-life series 2) America's Army - can't wait for 3.0 3) L4D - too little content but oh so unique and fun otherwise 4) Duke Nukem 3D - someone needs to bring humour back to fps, no more mute characters with the personality of a potato a la freeman or masterchief 5) AvP2 - The last truly scary FPS, needs a worthy sequel so badly.
