In the late 90's to 2000 there was a racy PC gaming magazine called PC accelerator. They always had 'adult' articles and many racy pictures. There was an 'intern' who posted articles and columns by the name of 'Gia DeCarlo' and she was pretty hot. The wiki to the magazine lists her as a 'character' in the magazine. I always assumed she was fake but her name was suspiciously similar to a gaming guy I had heard about in the 2000's by the name of Giancarlo Varanini. His Linkedin page only goes back to 2000 when he worked at CNET but the wiki doesn't list him as one of the editors at PC Accelerator. Does anyone know if it was indeed his alter ego at the magazine or know of any story behind Gia DeCarlo?
I understand that the main creator is kind of an ass but the game was created by a hundred people who are probably great people. Seems childish to avoid the game and talking about it if it's due to one person. Anyway, I heard that Jeff said there was no interest in the game. Considering it's sold millions, and this forum alone, the topic has 13,000 views, that view is waaay off base. They were talking about Vermintide 2 this week on the Bombcast and THAT game has more interest than KC:D? Okaaay. Just seems petty to ignore a pretty good game with a novel take on the RPG formula...realistic with no magic or monsters. Seems to be a great streaming game too. I'm sure I'll get roasted for saying these things but I am just confused by it all.
I did a Google Image search on someones avatar on ResetEra because it seemed to looked like Brad. This is what it came up with.................................... Is this Brad?
I'm happy I still have KOTOR, Crimson Skies, Dead to Rights, Psychonauts, Prince of Persia and Pirates! All great games. I installed DTR and it looks much better but for some reason the left and right look is reversed (you can only invert aim). You move the stick to the right to look left and vice versa. Very hard to get used to in this day and age. I don't remember it being awkward back then (but that WAS over 10 years ago)...
