I've always played Mass Effect on PC. I've never really understood why people disliked the mako so much, but now that I think about it, controlling that thing with a gamepad sounds like a nightmare.

@ericsmith: You're not a good person.

I'd perhaps go a step further and call them a bad person. Their lack of empathy is startling.

@kevin_cogneto: Other people in their circle have come out against TB after his death due to his connections with gamergate in its early days, before eventually condemning it. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think that the lack of a mention of his death is politically motivated. I'm hoping it was just an oversight and they mention it next week, because it would be uncharacteristically petty for them, otherwise.

Pretty screwed up that you guys didn't even mention Totalbiscuit's death. TB was a big fan of GB and would often hold this site up as an example of journalistic integrity. I'm sure many people found their way here because of his recommendations. But to not even acknowledge his death from cancer at the young age of 33? He was arguably one of the biggest faces in PC gaming. I can only assume you guys glossed over it because his political beliefs may have been slightly to the right of yours? Either way, it makes me sad.

Someone on staff really needs to lower the dpi setting on that mouse. I've noticed it for months. How do these guys even play first person games like this? I'd imagine it would make first person shooters unplayable. It's nearly unwatchable.

@brad: Yeah, the battle of Jakku takes place about a year after the battle of Endor/ROTJ.

@bladeofcreation: Normally I'd agree with you, but after reading the novel tie in to the game I have to bet that this is going to be the one time where they subvert the expectation of an imperial defection. Without spoiling any of the novel, the members of Inferno squad are all in on the side of the Empire. I have to believe there are some actions that you choose to take in the name of an ideology that can't really be undone. If they do follow that old trope of the defection to the Alliance I would be greatly disappointed. It would be incredibly out of character based on what was written about these characters in the novel, which was surprisingly good given that it is a Star Wars video game novel.
