I didn't know anything about John Wick except for a trailer I saw that made it look dumb. Then I saw it was on HBO Now and decided to give it a whirl after hearing positive things. The movie is dumb but in the most over-the-top actiony-est way possible. Holy shit he murders so many people I think he's got Nathan Drake beat. That would be my only complaint, the killing is almost too much to bear and is fairly non stop.

The stuff surrounding the assassin's hotel intrigued me. That and the nature of the world the movie presents reminded me of Hitman but on "speed".

Also, I would do the same if someone messed with my dog. But I'd call on the assistance of agent Rorie first.

I found Giant Bomb after you had joined, so you were just another one of the crew to me. That's why I never understood the hate you got - it seemed like it was mostly disdain toward the 'new guy'. But that eventually died out and most of the community came to accept you which was cool.

I seriously teared up at the end this post. (I don't know what it says about me that the last two times I've cried have been at this site). I think it's a testament to your talents as a writer, though what I love most about your work is what you do on a mic. I hope you don't stop doing stuff like Spookin' with Scoops.

I'll definitely follow where you go. Goodbye for now :smileyhappyface

I guess what I want to know is if anyone who's played it can easily line up where the show is at, in this first episode at least.

I wouldn't be surprised if they tried them out on Extra Life.

1. MGS2

Like Dan with the original MGS, this was the first one I played, and it had the same effect. It made me realize the potential of games as an artform with its impressivie cinematics that made me feel as if I were watching an awesome movie. With that it cemented me as a "real gamer"--before that I played only baby Nintendo games (sarcasm).

2. MGS3

Objectively the best one with a relatively more grounded story, added gameplay aspects like survival, not to mention some the most memorable boss fights in gaming.

3. Twin Snakes

To me, this is up there in quality as the Resident Evil remake. I tried going back to the original MGS after playing this first, but couldn't make it past the first Ocelot battle.

4. MGS4

I almost didn't finish this one, but in the end it was worth it for all the ridiculous moments.

I've played Ground Zeroes but I'd rather not compare it to these fuller games. I'll wait for the Phantom Pain before I do that.

Also, I can't wait for the upcoming MGS Endurance Run. :P
