@fortysixandtwo: hmmmm, a bit, there was still a whole flight sim PC community at the time that was using crude effects that didn't reach into 3D till much later in the mid 90s. SNES Pilotwings fit that niche and was comfortable with it's soothing presentation. But I mean even on the presentation of Mode 7, I do feel like it ran out of steam faster then FZero how it used Mode 7. Simcity was actually a better game on launch SNES then Pilotwings, there were a lot better launch games on the SNES then pilotwings.
Most people had Sim City on the PC, years before the SNES version.
I agree that F-Zero showcased the SNES's power the most, but Pilotwings was still a good game.

Incidentally ... Nintendo 64 had Super Mario 64. I think that says it all.
gimme a break, the HTML on this site is impossible. Also anyone who wanted Soul Calibur, sorry but I thought that game was rubbish, especially compared to Soul Blade & Power Stone.
