Little King's Story is the best non-Mario game on the system if you ask me. It's the only game I can recall making me tear up. If you do choose to get it, don't be put off by the tutorialised intro (which goes on for longer than it appears to), it gets fantastic.
Dammit David Cage. Don't talk about a lack of innovation in current consoles when it looks like you're making an uninspired sequel to Heavy Rain - a game that represents the stagnation of ideas from this generation.
I'm thankful he's out there making these kind of games, diversifying the landscape and all that, if only because it shows people how separate video games and movies are - and that they shouldn't try to mimic one another. Just please don't attack others when you're the worst offender yourself.
We play a lot of games together - New Super Mario Bros Wii, Pixel Junk Shooter, Scott Pilgrim, an awful lot of Picross 3D and Professor Layton. To be honest, anything that I buy gets played by both of us but co-op games work well, as do single player games which aren't too reaction focussed so we can swap the controller between us.
Beat Hard, Medium, and Old School [Free Aim...I don't like lock-on in any games I play]. I wish you could skip the cutscenes a little faster...I end up having to waste 5 minutes sitting through the same scenes over and over.
I'm with you on this one. Just did a free aim Old School run and I'm planning to go back in to finish up collectables and do it on Hardcore - but the thought of watching the cutscenes (which are undeniably great) for the 4th time in under a week is putting me off.
I found some areas insanely frustrating on Normal. Really struggled on some sections, notably the organ-trafficking rooftops and the final airport section.
I'm toward the end of the police station on Hard now and I'm not finding it too bad. Practice makes perfect and all that! I'm having a similar experience to Skate in that, whilst not technically getting stronger in-game, I feel like I'm understanding how the game wants me to manoeuvre a little more.
