It's enjoyable and definitely follows the trend that Sun & Moon set, and brought in stuff from Let's Go-- it's way more accessible for first time players. I can see it being great for a new generation of Pokemon players.
And, after all, these are children's games.
It's got some problems, but overall it's fun. The aliasing is about as bad as any other Switch game and that I'll never get over. After giving it some time, it feels more like people are expecting something out of this series that it isn't anymore, but also complaining about some things that have always been there (stilted battle).
I played that Rugrats game! I don't remember the name of it either but that's one of the games I played a lot of as a kid with my mom. The last level was a mini-golf course where you wrecked things as Reptar.
