The Ever Growing List of Games I've Bought in 2010.

Keep an eye on this list, it'll grow throughout the year unlike my bank account. I thought it would be interesting to keep a log of the games I bought this year and see what it looks like by the end of 2010.

These are listed in purchase order, number one being my first purchase.

I'll also be adding thoughts about the games on this list that made it from my 'Can't wait' listing.

List items

  • I bought this cheap in the January sales, and criminally have yet to play this to any great level. It seems great, why am I not playing it more? Who knows.

  • Damn you Bayonetta. I really do like this game, I really enjoy the combos and the fact that each time I think I have things worked out I realise that I can do something else and attack or defend in a better way. I say damn you, because the end boss and it's vortex attack has me beaten currently. I haven't plucked up the courage to go back and finish it yet.

  • Probably one of the best games I have ever played. I thought Fallout 3 grabbed me, sucked me in and made me think I was the wanderer when I started having dreams about the wasteland, but Mass Effect 2 and its fiction has devoured the same amount of time I spent on Fallout 3 in a year in around about 2 weeks.

I love it and with the prospect of big DLC plans through the Cerberus network I should be playing this until the release of Mass Effect 3.

  • Dragon Age is not my style of game. I like RPG games like Fallout 3 and Mass Effect but was never one for things like Baldur's Gate. So why buy this?

Well, it was cheap. I was in ASDA having a mooch around and there it was starring at me, cheaply.

Do I like it so far? Hmmmm, no.

Wishing I had left it where it was is my honest answer and I can see this being on Ebay by the end of the week.

  • I can't really comment too much on the story here, other than to say I don't personally think it actually is a great story. I really do not believe the killer reveal is either possible nor inventive. I also find myself surprised at the mostly positive response for this game, and that it does little different from Fahrenheit. Surprisingly I have nominated this for most disappointing game this year. Something I didn't see coming.

  • I am about 25 hours into FF XIII and I am struggling to carry on. Some of the battles are a little tough in places, and then others seem a walk in the park. Maybe it is a little bit of a balance problem. But this isn't really a big issue for me.

Instead I am actually tiring of the constant forward drive, the constantly boring story and the constantly annoying story telling going on here. Do they really have to drone on about their feelings so much? So far the two most annoying characters are Hope and Vanille. Hope for doing nothing but moan about Snow and Vanille for being so damn positive.

Anyway, I'll get back around to finishing this at some point, but I do find myself a little bored.
