I truly hope I won't be barred from participating simply because I've had the chance to play before.
For anyone unfamiliar, I placed 1st at CEO and 5th at EVO.
People have stated that after a day of having the game in your hands you'll have caught up with tournament placers. I disagree with this. I believe after simply a few HOURS of playing you'll be at the level people were playing at in UFTG, CEO and EVO.
If it makes everyone a little more comfortable I simply want to compete to have a chance to play the best players. I have no qualms whatsoever about passing any prizes I may receive down to the next placement should I place high enough to receive anything.
Now that I think about it, I already have one of McCarron's amazing Divekick hats, so I'm willing to pass that on to second place should I win.
I will be streaming my matches in the tournament in addition to getting a regular Divekick stream going. Follow my account on twitch and be ready for some awesome matches and commentary. Also, let me know what you'd like to see during my stream.
@flstyle Ramon of Iron Galaxy is the best Redacted player I know of. He's crazy good with her feral stance and wall-jump. He mostly uses the wall-jump to close distance and sometimes to catch an opponent off-guard.
Redacted can also wall-jump off of her wall-jump. You hit Dive+Kick while in the air to grab the wall the first time, then as she's jumping off the wall, she's technically still close enough to it to grab it again. So with enough meter you can buffer the wall-jump over and over again before jumping off. Pretty scary.
Take any tier list with a grain of salt. Nobody knows any of the matchups as they stand right now. Most people have gotten a chance to play as 1-2 characters and have most likely played against most of the same characters.
Give this game a week outside of release and everyone's idea of where everyone lies will be completely flip-flopped.
