If you get freaked out by sexist behaviour and show that you do by competing in a environment that is free from it, the first thing people will do when you step up is be sexist towards you to gain a competitive advantage. Watch any sport where one person knows their opponent can be wound up!
While trash talking is fine being a sexist (or homophobic, etc.) asshole is something that the community is trying to stamp down. Trolling and trash talking still exist but especially in recent years people have been trying to be less tolerant of stuff that involves anything that is particularly hateful towards orientation, gender, etc. especially during events. If someone wants to trash talk that's fine but people aren't gonna tolerate hateful, denigrating shit that crosses the line and that's not a problem on the competitors who are being subjected to that, that's a problem on the person showing that kind of behavior and its up to the community to not let that kind of shit slide.
Someone let me know when Bethesda Softworks are doing a SW game. At this point, that is the only possible way I think I could still get excited about anything to do with Star Wars.
Disney has given only EA the license to make Star Wars games other than their own studio of course where Johnny V works.
@henchman_72: Really? That's high than I would have guessed. So hopefully 1080p 60fps isn't out of reach for consoles. That would be nice.
I guess the worry would be developers looking at this and thinking "MOAR SHADERS AND POST-PROCESS EFFECTS" instead of "Hey, let's keep a similar graphical fidelity but make it play better".
Sadly I think scenario 1 is more likely :/ Just look at Dark Souls 3. I'm playing it at high settings on a GTX 770 (quite outdated at this point) yet the consoles cannot even maintain a steady 30 fps while looking worse at the same time.
Hopefully the main focus will still be the original PS4 and developers will utilize the increased power in the Neo to add slight graphical tweaks but significantly improve the framerate.
Just to add to that, I'd rather they focus on nailing 60 or close to 60 since they likely aren't going to nail actual 4K resolution but they would probably using an upscaling solution if its even possible.
not sure why it would get points taken off for something it doesn't set out to do. would skyrim get points off for not having multiplayer?
That's a very different thing entirely. The point he made isn't that the game lacked a feature (i.e. multiplayer) but rather it's treading the same old ground however it's being done very well. There's nothing wrong with that and the score is still pretty good.
Hopefully you won't need XBL Gold on PC when it's released to play MP.
I'd be really surprised if MS is gonna try and pull something like that. Maybe they can delay the PC release (kinda understandable) but needing Gold to play it on PC is going to piss off just about everyone who just plays on PC.
