GeekDown: Best of 2009
I am always about a year late on games which means I have not played all of 2009's biggest games yet. The ones that I have played though aren't all deserving a spot on this list so this is my Top 4 games of 2009.
The first game is the reason why I bought a 360 and it was an awesome game. Skate 2 listened to the complaints people had and added enough things to make it feel fresh. I finished it in two days but I have so far spent over 30 hours just freeskating and I still have not grown tired of it. Without a doubt my game of the year.
The singleplayer campaign is once again extremely enjoyable and the multiplayer is even more fun this time around.
Even though it's just a disc with stand-alone DLC, it still feels like a full game. Both of the two expansions are well written and just as fun to play as any other game in the GTA franchise.
2009 has been the year that I have really gotten into point and click games. There have been some good releases this year in the genre but Machinarium is easily my favorite. It has a gorgeous visual style, clever narrative and some very tricky puzzles.
