outside the gaming world, racism, feminism, and other foolish hatreds are part of the norm, so in this case they look past the fact that it's a game and apply it to the real world. sad really. if more people acted like gamers we probably wouldn't have some of the problems we have today
Two very different but very good ideas. I simply don't feel right in comparing them.
Little Big Planet focuses on creating levels and customizing your sackboy or girls. It seems to be very deep and very detailed but it doesnt have the appeal of a Spore nor does it have the luxury of being on the biggest platform in the world the PC.
Think about this. when you log into spore for the first time every creature you encounter will be created by someone from the community. You can check the evolution of your creature from the sporepedia. You'll be able to visit the galaxy's and planets of your friends. This list could go on and on, but in a nutshell the very essence of spore is that every creature you come in contact with will have been created by someone just like you and that's huge in refrence to community gaming.
What do you guys think. I've been thinking about this for the past few months. With games like Banjoe Kazooie Nuts & Bolts. Little Big Planet (coming from former lionhead guys) Fable 2, and Killzone 2 all coming out the European market. It just seems to me that most of the new ideas in community gaming are coming from our brothers and sisters across the pond.
was a part of gamespot for a long time when jeff and ryan used to host "on the spot" I'm really hoping for a similar show here *crosses fingers*
After Jeff left Gamespot I went over to gametrailers and was a huge part of the community but I added his blog to my rss feed to keep up to date. one day I was over at n4g.com and read a post that said ryan davis had left gamespot. Then I added Ryan's blog to my rss feed and found they were working on a site. Then I prayed to the gaming gods that more would follow and lo and behold. Vinnie C joined the crew along with Brad "dirty souf" shoemaker (NC ftw)
Loving the site and I'll be here permanetly from now on.
