The reason why episode 26 is considered the end of a season is due to how anime schedules are run.

The year has 52 weeks which are typically broken down into four 13-week broadcast seasons(called cours). Sometimes seasons run twice as long ending up at 26 episodes. This is why you will find a lot of anime ending in 13, 26 or 52 episodes give or take an episode or two due to breaks/holidays.

@amyggen:

Well, all the more reason that it is concerning that I can't tell if I am seeing actual bugs in this video or not.

@amyggen:

It's all minor stuff up until the point where I can't tell if something is a bug or Dan's fault because all of those minor things add up. I fully expect this game to be buggy(alpha) and judging from other sources it definitely is. Ultimately, its bugginess is a non-issue for an unreleased game anyways.

@eggheaded:

I suppose your point on Unfinished vs Quick Looks and the depth to a video they deserve is true. But conversely, if they care enough to make a video about the game and it is also released for sale, I don't see why they shouldn't engage it critically and indepth.

I'm not a big fan of the apologist attitude of deflecting criticism because the critical comments must be coming from fans of the game/genre. I don't play survival games very much, and I don't own this game. I expected to leave this QL with questions answered rather than even more questions.

Here is a list of issues I have with this QL:

1. Dan skips through all of the opening cutscenes because Brad has already seen them. Nvm the GB audience

2. He doesn't know what the items in his inventory do despite the description. e.g. whether or not food gives health and the fact that bandages state that they do not heal you

3. He doesn't understand that pulling out his weapon in public is aggroing people around him

4. Not understanding that carrying bodies is making him suspicious and aggroing

^These are an issue because he mentions "random" npc aggro is a bug earlier in the QL, and these scenarios reinforce this narrative despite not being true in that situation. So, I have doubts on what are bugs and what is just Dan being oblivious.

5. He never investigates the menus for the audience sake. I would have love to have seen some more of item descriptions or even a cursory glance at the possible items you can craft

6. Completely obliviousness of the inventory expansion item which without Brad's presence he was presenting as a bug

7. The combat is garbage and I acknowledge that. But Dan's reluctance to engage the combat system in any meaningful way other then constant left-click spam(which you can hear) makes me uncertain if the combat is as shallow as it appears to be or if it is just Dan.

And the biggest issue: He never takes Joy after the initial opening sequence.

What does Joy do to the gameplay? I would love to know since it is a major part of the game. Like, how can you do this entire QL without taking Joy is beyond me.

Oh man, the comment section wasn't kidding with how piss poor this QL is. I absolutely hate QLs where whoever is presenting has clearly not prepared very well before hand. Most of the people in the comments seem to have a better grasp of what is going on in this game then Dan does. In fact, I cant tell if Dan is encountering bugs or if that is his obliviousness. I'm going to echo what one of the other commenters pointed out, and that is Jeff said QLs are supposed to help us make informed decisions about whether or not to purchase a game. And I feel like Dan is wildly misrepresenting this game.
