Old Review: Hellgate London 0

Enter Hellgate London, made by people who we're a part of the diablo team, you fight for against an infinite demon army taking over the world (well maybe just London, who knows). You choose to play as one of six professions : Blademaster, a melee warrior with high burst damage capabilities, but medium to low defense. Guardsman, a melee warrior with extremely high defensive capabilities, decent healing abilities and the ability to taunt mobs. Marksman, a ranged firearm specialist with high d...

Old review: The Orange Box 0

Seriously I hate really short detail-less reviews. But theres no point in even trying here. If your reading this your either bored or you want to confirm that yes the game is really that good, or your thinking about buying it. Time to stop thinking. Odds are near 100% you already know what Half Life and Half Life 2 are well this awesome box comes like Half Life 2 / HL2 Episode 1 and Episode 2. This already is a huge value as Half life 2 is about 15 hours and each episode is geared towards 5 h...

Old Review: Tabula Rasa 0

TR is a new Sci-Fi First Person Shooter-ish MMORPG from the Eastern MMO company NCSoft which has only recently caught attention in other markets with games like Guild Wars and City of Heroes / City of Villains. Earth has been conquered by an alien race that the general population had no idea about, however our leaders were somewhat prepared and used on earth wormhole technology to move the best of the best to another planet to fight in a war that very well may be older than mankind itself. The...

Old Review: Lord of the Rings Online 0

It's the real deal, a true heavy weight in the current generation of MMORPGS, it joins the ranks of World of Warcraft, Everquest 2 and Guild Wars, arguably the top of the food chain in the current MMORPG subscriber wars. I've played every mainstream MMORPG since the original launch of everquest (I did go back and play some Ultima Online also) and after 15+ years of playing video games I know when something feels right, and Lord of the Rings Online (LotRO) isnt perfect and wont rake in the uber ...

Old Review: Doom 3 1

Theres something about Doom3... over hyped, over advertised, over pressured... After so much abuse what did we expect? Lets be honest we expected acid-trip-excatsy-multipleorgasm-no-hangover type fun. If you own the game. Re-read the Review Deck. Tell everyone in your life to go get bent for a weekend, disconnect the phone and turn off the cell-i-o, because you need 8-12 hours of free time to take care of bid'ness (thats business ya squares). Also... this really does sound crazy, either turn...

Old Review: Dark Age of Camelot 1

I really don't know what happened to this game, I played it during beta and about 9 months into release, I thought it was a fantastic game, with a super community, but now its just ... old. Its not that it isn't fun, and that the community is lacking. Im sure this game has its devoted fan base as well, but it really seems like somethings just didn't grow old well. The animations and frame rate of the game are horrible. Skin textures are amazingly good, but since animation is down the tube as s...

Old Review: Red Dead Revolver 0

Red Dead Revolver : A huge letdown for me. We'll get to the reason why just hold on... keep holding... almost there... red Wait. ok there you made it. Think you could handle that every 2-10 minutes for a total of 70 something times? No. Good, I like you. Gameplay : Too much "cover" duck behind something shoot something, stand out in the open, get blown to bits. Duel is awesome, not used enough. Imagine the controls for Tiger woods golf. Think of how you can use that in a gunfigh...

Old Review: Onimusha 3 0

Onimusha 3 : The CG Movie/Game Thing. Gameplay : Good responsive controls, NO JUMPING! I seriously dont know how many times I kept hitting buttons thinking I was gonna jump. No. No user controlled jumping. Targeting is finicky. Graphics : Uh, renting the game is well worth watching the opening sequence. Playing is just extra. The rest of the games graphics are great as well. : -) Sound : I like jean reno. If you don't like him or know who he is. Watch : The Professional, after your don't wi...

Old Review: The Suffering 0

I LOVE IT. It's Over. TOO Short! Well The Suffering is a great rental. The game takes about 3-7 hours to complete (depending on how good you are at games) and has 3 endings... to get the three endings i would say you really only need to play 2 1/2 times through the game. once for good, once for bad and then keep a save from the middle of one of those and go for neutral. So there still only 21 hours at the most, and thats if you are just now learning to read right now, otherwise go with 3. Game ...

Old Review: Fight Night 2004 0

EA Sports : We never get it quite right. Lets get right to it. Game play: TPC is what I think they are calling Total Punch Control. While I am going to name it - Total Piece of Crap. For a control scheme that is supposed to be revolutionary... it is not. For something that would give you better more responsive (quicker?) control, it does not. The reason behind this is not only do you point the control stick in a direction but you also have to so a motion, a curve to bring the punch up. it real...

Old Review: Manhunt 0

This game is admittedly way too much fun. I mean really, Killing people in this fashion by no means should be fun. But in this game it is. Evil doesn't begin to explain it. Game play- You play as a man executed, well not really, who is now in a game of cat and mouse in the worst way. You kill to live. Controls are good, responsive and fast, gun accuracy is a little too good but thats OK, hiding in the shadows is a little flaky but still fun. AI is decent and gets progressively harder as the game...
