Who Let The (Watch) Dogs Out? Ubi, Ubi, Ubisoft! 0

Watch Dogs was one of the first “next gen” games we ever saw, even if at the time we didn't know for sure if it was “next-gen”. At Ubisoft’s 2012 press conference Watch Dogs was the finale, the “One last thing…” moment of the conference and caught everyone’s attention. It looked fantastic and seemed to be a good sign of what the “next-gen” would be capable of. 2 years later and after a last minute delay, Watch Dogs has finally be...

Insert Your Funny South Park Reference Here 0

The first thing I did in South Park: The Stick of Truth was create a character and watch a small cutscene. The second thing I did was walk into a bathroom and mash the “A” button to take a shit on the toilet, then I grabbed the “turd” and put it into my inventory. In many ways this was a perfect introduction to the often crude, funny and surprisingly deep South Park: The Stick of Truth.Developed by Obsidian, Stick of Truth is the South Park game fans have wanted for a long...

If Spider Man Was Real, He Would Protect People From This Game 0

The Amazing Spider Man 2, the game, is an abysmal trainwreck. Filled with terrible gameplay, poor dialogue, horrendous voice “acting”, it is one of the worst open world games I have ever had the unfortunate time of playing. Do not buy this game. Do not play this game. Stay away from this game. If you want to know why, keep reading. But I just had to let you know as soon as I could that this game is garbage and doesn’t deserve your time or money. The Amazing Spider Man 2 was deve...

The 60's Are Less Groovy and More "Filled With Nazis" 0

I was about 3 hours into Wolfenstein: The New Order when I realized something.I cared about the characters I had met in the game. Which isn’t something I find happening all that often in games in general. And I didn’t expect it from a new entry in a 20 year old series about shooting Nazis. But Wolfenstein: The New Order isn’t just another shooter.Yet oddly it's also one of the best shooters I've played in a long time.Wolfenstein: The New Order is the latest game in the long ru...

A cybernetic ninja and his robot dog save the world. 0

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a part of the Metal Gear series, but where those games focused on stealth and espionage Rising focuses on fast paced action and slashing up tons of enemies. But I was surprised to find that Rising actually feels a lot like a Metal Gear Solid game, which at times I wished it didn't. The story of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is set after the events of MGS4. You play as Raiden, who is now working for Maverick a Private Military Company. His company and himself ar...

"Walking Around a House Simulator 2013" has a pretty great story. 0

Since its release Gone Home has been at the center of debate. Some question if we can actually call Gone Home a game. I'm not here to talk about that, but I will say this, Gone Home is a great example of how diverse and interesting gaming has become- and I consider it a fantastic game.Gone Home, developed by The Fullbirght Company, is by design a simple game. You play as Kaitlin, the older sister of Samantha. It is 1995 and you've been away for awhile, exploring the world. Your family has move...

Lions! Tigers and Bears! ..and that's about it. 0

I played a ton of Zoo Tycoon 1 & 2 when I was younger. It was fun to make your own zoo, filling it with dozens of different animals and attractions. I remember rebuilding my local zoo, or trying to at least. It was to tempting to just add some dinosaurs.Being a kid and being able to build a big-old-crazy zoo was just awesome. In that regard Zoo Tycoon for the Xbox 360 succeeds. But if your looking for a complex or semi deep management game, you'll probably be disappointed. The first thing I n...

A Pirate's life is kind of repetitive 3

By the time I reached the end of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, I felt exhausted and relieved. I was so happy to see the credits, to finally complete the story. Not because I expected some grand ending, or because I had enjoyed the journey and wished to see how it all ended. The reason I was so relieved at finally beating this game was simple: Its too long and filled with too much unnecessary content. This is the 6th game in the main series, but if you start counting other games like Liberation,...

The trilogy ends...thankfully. 0

The first Crysis was a technical accomplishment, becoming a benchmark for PC gamers for years. Crysis 2 was a more linear adventure, that seemed to focus more on telling a story..with less then great results. Now we have Crysis 3, a game that tries to tell an even more epic story, but not only fails at that, it fails at being anything but a forgettable shooter with nothing new. (Except a BOW!!)One of the biggest surprises of Crysis 3 is how hard Crytek tries to tie all 3 games together. Its a fu...
