Since my last blog post i have been fairly busy with some games most of them newer. 
  

Kingdom Hearts 2

 I've put about 30 hours into KHII now and I am actually starting to enjoy it. I hit the tron level and the story really started to pick up. 

You had king mickey and all his shenanigans and the sheer awesomeness that was the  Tron level. My one big gripe with the game would just have to be the difficulty.  
I am not grinding at all and I really just feel like I am crushing all the baddies without even barely trying.   
 

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

I looked in the mail earlier this month and saw a gamefly envelope sitting in there. I opened it and to my surprise it was  Silent Hill: Shattered Memorie s for the Wii.  

 Now this game had hardly been on my radar as I don't play many games by myself on the Wii, but once I saw it win Giant Bomb's GOTY it really peaked my interest and i threw it on the gamefly queue. 
 
 Now after playing all the games before it I had it and popped it in.  I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere despite the graphical limitations.  
I played the game for about an hour and then set it down to go to bed. It took me about a week to finally go back to the game but boy was I glad I did. I got hooked that night and stayed up till about 4 a.m. playing it. I really enjoyed the characters and liked how the game made you feel like it was almost judging your actions.  
 
I really wish that this feature would be in other games. I never really think about doing bad things in most games but if its actually  psychologically profiling what I do it makes me think "If I go in the ladies bathroom is this game going to think I'm a perv?". The ending was just crazy as well. 

I like the slow progression of the story and how you slowly learned who the characters were including yourself. My only real gripe with the game were the "chase" sequences.  

 If you are unaware this game has no combat in it. Every so often the game just goes all Silent Hill and you enter dark world and then you just run. At first I thought this might be cool and it actually was.  

 The problem is later in the game it expects you to go to a certain spot which is really difficult to find because there is no mini map. So you are forced to pull out your phone and look at the map. Half the time when you do this you end up getting killed. It was really frustrating because I was enjoying the story but I kept getting killed in these sequences that really didn't add all that much to the game.  

 
I would suggest Wii owners try this as i had quite a bit of fun with it. 
 

Super Street Fighter 4

Another game I played and purchased recently was   Super Street Fighter 4. Boy am I happy i bought this game. I bought SF4 about 2 or 3 months ago and when I first got it was way into it but then kind of fell off. I have been following all the hype and what not for  SSFIV and was interested but not exactly sure if i would enjoy it much. It has completely once again rekindled my Street Fighter love. I enjoy all of the new characters and the new online features are great. 
 

Just Cause 2 and Alan Wake

 
I haven't really gotten to put much time into Just Cause 2 or   Alan Wake, but so far I am enjoying them both quite a bit. 
 
The atmosphere in Alan Wake is just fantastic. It really has this cool spooky vibe from all the lighting and its really convincing as well. The story seems really strong and I am excited to see how it unravels.  
 
Just Cause 2   is a video game ass video game. It is so ridiculous and unrealistic but that is what I love about it. Of course none of the things within it are plausible but who cares because did you see that sweet ass explosion? Or did you see me jump a car off a huge cliff ride in it for about 2 minutes then parachute out and set off an explosive? Crazy things are abound in Just Cause 2.  I am really excited to go back and see what other ridiculousness  there is to be had within it's wacky world. 
 
I am off to play more games. Hope whomever read this enjoyed this ridiculously long blog post =D

So i've been playing through KHII Lately but i am having a hell of a time getting into it.    

I'm about 9 hours in and still haven't gotten to anything that i haven't yet played which is perhaps what is leading to my lethargic play nature with it.  
 
I finished up all my finals today. Really happy to have the summer off after the way this semester has gone. 
 
Having a few friends over tomorrow so that should be fun. Doubt i will get much KHII in tomorrow though. 
 
Sometimes having a social life interrupts my gaming haha.

So I was sitting here looking at my Giant Bomb page and thought to myself hmm i should blog. A lot of crap has gone down since my last actual blog.  
 
I have been in 2 plays at my college in which I had middling roles in both. I doubt you want to hear about my personal like too much but I figure I can at least give the titles. 
 
I was in All My Sons in the fall semester and Grease which just wrapped about 2 weeks ago. 
 
On the game side of things I have beaten a pretty decent amount of games this year as you can see if you look at my Lists.  
 
I've been keeping myself busy with a full load of classes this semester which are just about to wrap up tomorrow and then finals next week which I"m sure will be oodles of fun.  
 
Once the semester is over im hoping to just take a nice long break and finish up Kingdom Hearts II which is the next game I am attempting to finish from my ever growing pile of shame.

So i had to write a review for my English class (College) Wondered what everyone thought. IF you could please just comment on the review itself and not the merits of the film.  I know its a bit long (had to be 1000 words minimum)
  

 The Devil’s Rejects

“The Devil’s Rejects” is the second film written and directed by musician Rob Zombie . This is a sequel to the film “House of 1000 Corpses” which is also written and directed by Rob Zombie.  “If you are a hardened horror movie fan capable of appreciating skill and wit in the service of the deliberately disgusting, "The Devil's Rejects" may exercise a certain strange charm” (Ebert). This movie is brutal to say the least and not for the faint of heart. Zombie does not shy away from the use of blood and gore to get his point across. If these statements don’t scare you away then I think you are in for one hell of a great movie. The acting in the movie is absolutely spectacular especially for the genre. All of the characters are believable in the real world and even some of the more over the top lines are delivered wonderfully.

The story of “The Devil’s Rejects” begins with a police raid on an old decrepit farmhouse. The Police are led by Sheriff Wydell (William Forsythe) whose brother was killed by the family in the previous film. Inside the house is the Firefly family they are believed to have killed hundreds of people. After the sheriff warns them to come out a shoot out ensues, one character is killed and another taken hostage by the police. Baby (Sheri Moon-Zombie) and Otis (Bill Moseley) escape through a storm drain and leave to terrorize another day. After escaping from the house they go to a hotel and meet up with their father who is equally insane Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) who dresses like an evil clown. I felt that the story in this film fit well with the time. The idea of Sheriff Wydell taking revenge on the family makes the film almost seem like more of a western revenge movie than a horror film. The revolution of Wydell (Forsythe) from a play it by the law cop to turning into something almost as evil as the family itself works wonderfully. Baby (Moon), Otis (Moseley), and Capt. Spaulding (Haig) give the film a sense of urgency and really make you feel for characters that otherwise would be seen as the bad guys if it weren’t for the sheriff. The climax of the film is fantastic. I did not expect the ending that occurred and I really feel it wrapped the movie up wonderfully.

The writing in the film is probably one of its strongest suits. The characters dialogue is wonderfully sadistic. It fits the characters so well and really helps you delve into their minds. From Otis’ crazy monologues to Captain Spaulding’s dark humor and Baby’s sweet yet sadistic personality everyone has their own unique voice. Sheriff Wydell’s evolution as a character is evident most in his dialogue. In the beginning of the movie he is like a sheriff from the old west but by the end he turns into someone almost as sadistic as the killers he hunts. I love this aspect of the movie. It makes you have a hard time deciding who to root for. While Wydell is the “good guy” of the movie it is hard not to root for the Firefly’s because of just how cruel Wydell is toward them. The overall story arc is well written from beginning to end. I feel as though the movie started off just as strong as it ended.

The acting in this film is what really sets it apart from most horror movies. Bill Moseley said in an interview about His Character “In House I played, Otis is pretty much what you see is what you get, there wasn’t really a call in the script to go into those dark places that I go in Devil’s Rejects”  (Moseley). Every role is wonderfully cast.  “ Not  to take anything away from the other actors but Bill Moseley and William Forsythe were remarkable”  ( Miska) . Bill Moseley as Otis is probably the films strongest performance. He brings a physicality and presence to his character that almost overshadows most everyone in the film. He is probably the most sadistic of the three lead characters but the others definitely have their moments. Moseley plays the role with a Manson like sensibility. At times he seems completely out of his mind and irrational which he probably is, but at other times he seems like he is in complete control and knows exactly what he is going to do. Sid Haig as Captain Spaulding is pretty much exactly what you would expect in an evil clown. At the beginning of the film he steals a car from a woman all the while cracking sadistic jokes and laughing. About midway through the movie his character has a turn for the more serious and Haig plays the part wonderfully. You really feel the connection between him and his children Otis and Baby.   Sheri Moon-Zombie as Baby really plays an almost cute and lovable killer. She has a sweet cartoon like voice and the laugh of a mental patient but there is something just so darn lovable about her. While I found her decent for the role at hand I felt she was the least seasoned actor in the movie and there was not a lot memorable about her. William Forsythe as Sheriff Wydell is an absolute perfect choice and I feel he pulls off the role tremendously. As I have stated before his evolution of a character from a by the book sheriff to someone almost as insane as the firefly family himself. Overall the acting in this film is tremendous Zombie did a really god job of casting the various parts and I feel everyone fits within the world.

The soundtrack to the movie fits pretty much perfectly. It is a mixture of country and southern rock that flows with the mood of the film so well that it almost feels some of the songs were written just for the film. Although it is no surprise that the films music is great considering whom the director is. The use of Free Bird at the conclusion of the film is perfect and the song really seems to embody the characters in the movie. The score of the film is also quite good. The ominous tones help build suspense and add to the overall feeling and mood of the film.

The cinematography of the film also really helps to lead to the mood and feel of the film. The movies lighting and setting make it feel like a western more so than a horror film. During the more intense kill and chase scenes the use of a shaky cam gives those scenes a really intense feeling. During some of the scenes all the sound drowns out and just some music plays. These scenes work extremely well because they make the cinematography and action of the scenes become front and center rather than focusing on the sound and atmospheric noises.

Overall I had a lot of fun watching this movie. While I don’t think that everyone will enjoy it I believe that many of the scenes do have some acting that will rival many films. The performances are really what stand out and I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed watching Bill Moseley and William Forsythe act. I would say that if you have even a slight interest in horror film give this movie a rental.

So im sitting in geology class right now and i realized its probably been months since i made a blog post. I guess i mostly assume that no one really gives a shit to read about me. But seeing as i am bored may as well post something.  
 
This semester i am taking 16 credits. 
 
My Classes include  Geology, 2 English Classes, A Programming class, and a Theatre workshop class. 
 This will be my first full semester in college and i am both excited and nervous at the same time. The Theatre department is doing a production of All My Sons and i hope to audition.  
 
Aside from school stuff my most recent playlist of games are   Batman Arkham Asylum and GTAIV 
 
So far Batman is quite amazing and i find myself constantly going back to it and trying to solve the riddles and find little trophys for fun and not just for an achievement.  
 
The Reasoning for playing GTAIV again is buying The Lost and Damned DLC.  
Once again rockstar has put together a Teriffic cast of characters with amazing voice acting. I honestly wonder where they find these people. WIth so many games having horrible voice acting maybe they could use some of Rockstars Actors.
   

So i want to get one of these games but i can't decide which id love some help if anyone has an opinion on which is better i dont care about prices or anything like that

So I've been trying to do the Submission achievements in gears of war 2 and OMG noone ever picks this fucking mode and when they do its a horrible team....I'm gonna go cry now.

But it is fun kinda....hopefully the new achievements will bring more people back

So i went into the EB (something i normally do not do) and asked them if they had any SF IV Fight pads.

 First answer i get is no.

 Then he goes and asks another dude and he says o ya we got one in today its for the 360 Chun Li is that okay?

 I was like OMG yes thanks (Not quite as excitable on the outside but yeah).
 
If this day couldn't get any better i now actually play better with this controller and i got to see watchmen which was amazing and i want to go see it again tomorrow.

So i played street fighter from like 2pm till like...nowish and i feel like I'm actually getting better.

 I polished off the 10 ranked wins without losing legit and it made me feel so happy i did a little sexy dance. After that i played a bunch more and got 50 wins and i am now only playing player matches cause thats when the game is actually fun.

If anyone wants to play some games with me let me know i love some healthy competetion rather than a guy who picks ken 5 times and still decides not to change after i beat him mercilessly.
