How can Brad be surprised Jeff chose Ranger? He plays Ryu in Street Fighter; he chooses sword and board warriors in RPGs, he only uses automatic 30 round mag assault rifles and aims down sights WAY too much in competitive FPS games. He is the ultimate vanilla. I can't imagine him as anything other than the Ranger. To pick otherwise might actually be exciting and introduce cool gameplay mechanics. No!!!!!! That is the anti-Jeff.
This is some Andromeda ass voice acting and writing.
Sums it all up. There is absolutely zero soul. Just a bunch of sci fi terms being tossed around with ZERO intrigue for the player. I keep wanting to skip the dialogue as fast as possible, so I can at least move my character around while I was dying to hear convos in ME and KOTOR, and let's not even mention how good the Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 writing was back in the day.
I think it's stupid people get to play this a full week early, and I'm even one of them, with an Origin Premier membership on PC. Whatever is going on with xbox is even stupidier, 10 hours to play a game a week before launch? What if you actually like it? lol. Seems like something that will turn people away more than bring them in.
Also, this game is TOUGH to get a running at a steady 4k60fps on my RTX 2080ti. Have done a ton of tweaking. I'm guessing it's just 30fps on consoles.
The circle icon that closes over your aiming reticle represent your global cool down for abilities. You can spam biotic throw; it's like a 2-3 second CD. Also, always keep tech shield up.
And read the descriptions of the guns. Generally take one that's good against shields and one that's good against armor, and actually switch when fighting enemies using one or the other.

And don't just run out in the open when there's cover.
Anything that makes Steam have to actually react instead of lazily keeping Steam the same with its Windows 98 UI is a good thing. Also the game is definitely 10 bucks cheaper on the Epic store. It was 60 on Steam the entire time, unless there was a 5% off for preorders type thing. And lastly, the Epic store might not have the install base of Steam but it is getting a TON of eyeballs from Fortnite players alone.
If I had 5 months to do anything, it would be to finally research, buy, build, and paint a full Warhammer 40k tabletop army and start playing the actual game. I've played a lot of the video games and read a lot of the fluff but have never taken the plunge into actually collecting and playing.
@garr123: Also unrelated but I'll throw out another one: Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus.
40K + X-Com inspired turn-based tactics; How has Vinny not covered this? I might be biased because I've been in a bit of a gaming rut and it's the only thing I've enjoyed playing in the past few months.
