So I haven't been here for previous GOTY awards, do they put up the results before the deliberations? I'd rather not know what the outcome of their conversations will be before I listen to the Bombcast.
It's fine that they take longer than they used to, but it'd be nice if they would just pick a time at which we can be sure it'll usually be up, so I don't have to keep checking the damn thing.
I hope they'll talk about how Dark Souls 2 will be "more accessible" than the first game. IIRC the vagueness and inaccuracy of the provided information was one of Jeff's biggest complaints against that game, and hopefully a more straightforward Souls game will make it into the top ten.
Oooooh man, a Dark Souls that isn't as punishingly difficult would be great. I'm not sure if that's what the end result will be, but if it is, I might give it a try. I have Demon's Souls, but I never beat it. Not because I think I can't, but because I think it'd be too stressful and time consuming of a process.
It's not going to be easier, or at least I hope it won't be. But they seem to be listening to feedback regarding how confusing the experience is without any sort of guide(I had to use the wiki multiple times to figure some mechanics out, especially at the beginning), which is definitely a good thing IMO. If all goes right, it'll be just as punishing but significantly more comprehensible.
