People are so sensitive about being goofed on for playing video games. Video games aren't your identity, they are a hobby. In high school, some people would crack a few jokes about me constantly having my nose in a book, but I didn't care. I didn't have some nebulous sense of reader pride.
I don't even know if I like Swery's games, but I like Swery a whole lot and I want to support him. Need to celebrate off-the-beaten path games. I'll grab it when it comes out on PC.
A lot of the really talented writers are moving on. Cara was great, Carolyn Petite over at Gamespot was great (although that was more of a bullshit downsizing). Guess things are just moving more towards video. There are few people writing about games anymore that are great writers. At least we've still got Alex.
