" @Binman88: Haha, I'm quite a ways away from that unfortunately.  Was there any point when your income really took off?  I'm level 15 right now and it seems like running the international speedway in the supercup festival for 20k every 2.5 minutes is the most efficient way for me to grind it out. "

Just do the seasonal events - you get insane cash and experience for those.  I'm level 24 and I've only beaten the beginner tier of A-spec races.  License tests and special events used to be my go-to events, but seasonal events blow them out of the water as far as rewards go.

I'm thinking that due to your user name here, in addition to the game freezing to represent the MARK OF THE BEAST (6.666!!?? Really!?), your console and/or soul are possessed by the devil.

Get ready for much worse than a freezing GT5 race!

Have mostly been doing license tests and special events, but I'm sure I'll be doing the online thing eventually.

+100 on the Supra.  I remember this being my first car in GT1 back in the day, and holy shit does it look awesome in GT5! :)

" Just out of interest - did any of you guys enjoy GRID?"
I enjoyed GRID quite a bit, and still have it.  I also have Burnout Paradise.

Judging from opinions on here and the poll, looks like GT5 wins, though.  I know they are different genres, I was just curious as to the opinion of GB readers based on picking just one for a holiday game.

Thanks everybody for the input...probably picking up GT5 today, and as others mentioned, playing GRID or Burnout when I get that urge for more arcade-style racing.

GT5 is kind of a time-piece too...we'll remember it (and its development cycle) for decades!

Glaring omission from the poll! ;)

Just jump right into pro-drums, as you'll want to get used to hitting cymbals as soon as you can.  Moving from expert RB2 drums to expert RB3 pro drums still has me messing up when I'm supposed to be hitting cymbals but I instinctively go for the pads.

Getting through medium and hard pro-keys trainers will be my weekend quest...hoping my hands just learn where to go on that keyboard :-/
