  • 12 years to release a sequel to one of my favorite games ever and it was well worth the wait! i remember seeing gameplay as a freshman in high school, and then finally buying this game after i had already graduated!... the gameplay has improved, the balance is almost right, and SC2 still provides the most satisfying victories/grueling losses. I've played nearly 800 matches, and probably watched nearly 800 hours of commentary.... yeah i like this game.

  • Battlefield Bad Company was one of the most under appreciated FPS ever made, and I have many fond memories of spending my summer playing it. Bad Company 2 offers improved gameplay and destructibility, a much deeper leveling system, and more gamemodes. It was the perfect sequel to a game i already loved!

  • I never actually beat this game, due to a flurry of new releases that i continued to purchase and couldnt keep up with (i'm blaming you starcraft 2!)... but it's mostly true that nobody had actually made a great western videogame, but Red Dead Redemption has definitely changed that. With even more exploration that makes GTA great, better gunplay, and more to keep you occupied than previous Rockstar efforts, Red Dead is a must play!

  • I am a sucker for platformers, beginning of course with Super Mario Bros. Super Meat Boy is a ridiculously challenging, addicting, and most often frustrating game, that is simply rewarding every time you beat a level. The game shares alot of gameplay elements with N game, which is always a good thing. Play this game! But prepare to vent some inner rage!

  • More characters, more ultra combos, more stages..... nuff said!

  • Wow im putting a game on my list that i haven't even played! :O But i've seen enough gameplay (which reminds me of braid and other puzzle platformers i love), and heard nothing but positive reviews from friends, so i consider it worthy of making this list. Plus i really respect the art style and i love when developers go outside the box for the look of their games.

  • I feel obligated to put FFXIII on this list, simply out of my undying love for the Final Fantasy series as a whole. The game got a few things (and i mean FEW) right, mainly the new battle system, which was fresh, fast paced, and challenging. Sadly Square Enix ruined the rest of the formula. The game is completely linear, there is very little to actually spend your gil on, and there are absolutely no side quests (hunts dont count!). With square cutting 30% of the content out to fit onto HD DVD's it's safe to say we can all blame XBox for this failure!!

  • Streamlined great stealth action gameplay from some of my favorite splinter cell games, and made things more fast paced. I never actually played single player, but i had an absolute blast playing through co-op with my friend (although the ending was definitely depressing!). Ubisoft also threw in all kinds of gamemodes to keep you entertained competitively online. This is definitely a must play!

  • Anything Rockstar is guaranteed to make this list, but who didn't want more GTA IV?? Plus they brought back base jumps from San Andreas, which are my single favorite thing to do in GTA ever! :D I will always remember all the guys in my dorm, taking turns to wreak havoc, while all the girls just watched confused.

  • AHHHH... really just Mario Galaxy 1.5, but who cares! This is extremely refined, entertaining platforming, which is what we expect out of our favorite plump plumber!! I wish Nintendo would make more games like this, so i could play my Wii more often! Plus Yoshi is too dang adorable :) <3
