All the best to you in all things Jeff, it's a wonderful thing you've built these past 14 years.

Happy Birthday Endurance Run, it slightly terrifies me that it's now been 13 years since I watched this episode.

I loved Sigono's other games but I've been putting off cracking into Echo of the Starsong since buying it on release because there's just so much else demanding my time but I definitely got even more excited to play it after reading this excellent write-up.

I thought the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl remakes were bad and disappointing as well but about half of Jan's arguments seem incredibly bizarre to me in the sense that it's surprising that Jan didn't stop playing Pokemon long ago if those are the complaints he has.

Outraged at the disrespect for Inca people looking for a place to go.

Feel like Jan is really underselling how much work was done to remake the Famicom Detective Club games when he's talking about the price. It's not like they're just uprezzed ports of the NES games, they're gorgeously animated products, far beyond the baseline standards of visual novels even today. Obviously people are going to make their own value judgements of whether it's worth it to them personally but in general the price isn't really out of step at all with how much work went into these releases.

Oh boy some of those facial animations look rough nowadays. Anderson's mouth in the ME1 council scene was barely moving as he spoke.

@kryplixx: @dya: I adored Stardew but personally don't agree with this at all. Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns was the contemporary release with Stardew and I ended up enjoying it a lot more. It's 100% down to preference because they're actually fairly different games, and Stardew definitely has way more Western sensibilities, but performance issues for this game aside I don't think there's any stark gap in quality between SoS and Stardew.
