I thoroughly enjoyed this game too. It made me better at picross even for someone who was thoroughly used to solving flash picross games from days of yore. (I still play Pixelo through Flashpoint!)
I agree with you re: the actual mysteries having, let's say, a fair few leaps of logic. But considering this was one of maybe three games actually released in 2020 I played, it was still thoroughly enjoyable and left me with a smile on my face a whole lot. (I guess it's eligible for my GOTY by default, though I think Frog Fractions: Hop's Iconic Cap has that one locked down)
Plus music is great too!! It really brought me back to AA. It never got annoying even as I was solving those damn bonus puzzles.
I know they have already started getting some flak for their thoughts but I am super glad for this format, it reminds me of the video reviews Jeff and Brad used to do. Absolutely am down for more of this.
Surprised there was no mention of Reagan/warcrimes during the campaign, but I guess these games do a decent job of hiding that stuff for the majority of players.
@sniped_ash: The song at 13:25 is Ветер-ветерок by this artist called (I shit you not) Lube. Look it up, I found it on Deezer!
@durgerburglar: There's an entire YouTube playlist of all of the trucking videos Alex has done over lockdown, and a lot of them are Euro Truck! You can start with the first video in the playlist and keep looking through to see Alex's adventures in Europe: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLS7q32VKAqxKhoTDODI3t1ffcdRrpVO-b
Also, never thought I'd see the day when there'd be a damn news report in American Truck Sim. These games are truly a delight and I'm so glad Alex is back. TUESDAYS ARE FOR TRUCKING!
Right when Ben says that 'chat is featured more prominently than I am' (around 3:27:39), you can see my message at the top blurrily saying 'Ben erasure for the last part of this stream', lmao
