Well fair enough I happen to absolutely love the last song. But yes you are right. At least for the first two songs the screaming is awful and completely pointless
Have you ever tried screaming for an hour? While I am not a huge fan of hardcore or screamo, I did used to be a big death metal fan back in the day. While you may feel there is no talent, it requires a lot of vocal training.
I can appreciate screaming in small doses. I'd recommend Converge, Botch, and The Dillinger Escape Plan. Mostly Converge though, there's something about them. First song is a bit older, second song is on the latest album.
@organicalistic_: That's bad how!? Those first 2 songs were techno bullshit, ABRB is metal, they scream just fine. I for one can understand what they're saying too...
Lately I've been seeing a really bad trend going around. And that is the usages of screaming in music when it is absolutely not necessary, granted you believe in rock, punk and metal it may be necessary to scream. "
Yup. What was once godly growls and/or whacky punk shouting, turned into useless overused annoying and stupid SCREAMING SCREAMO SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEMZ .. just listen to BrokenCyde's "FreaXXX" .
I much prefer progressive/death metal growling. Opeth has some fanfuckingtastic growling sequences in their heavenly metal.

There aight, I'm more of a death metal person. Nothing seems brutal enough anymore...every time you think a song going to be fast and FUCKING CRAZY the entire time through, it's as if the whole band suddenly got tired and starts to play stupid breakdowns. This is why Flo Mounier of Cryptopsy is my favorite drummer, this guy's a beast.
In other news: Everyone should listen to United Nations/Thursday if you want music that has a little screaming (not the typical kind) with emotion and intelligent lyrics.

I love metal in all forms and of any genre, but i like my metal to have atleast a liiiiiitle bit of content.. Which is why i was never a EXTREME METAL fan, because i'd rather have a fix of somewhat meaningful metal than just pure heaviness and extremeness.
That doesnt mean i dont know anything about the metal you're after. I can positively tell you that it exists, theres some crazy brutal metal out there that'll make u wish u never asked for 'FUCKING CRAZY' and wonder whether the band consists of sane human beings :P . I recommend that you go to the Ultimate Metal Forums and ask and you shall receive.
My 2 cents are: Pig Destroyer / Mumakil for XTREME. Electric Wizard / Clutch / Crowbar for HEAVY. hope i helped !
