Seeing a lot of comments on how the only problem with the original DBZ is the length and the amount of filler, and wish Dan and Jeff would watch that one. That is not the only problem with the original at all, the biggest flaw of the original is the blatant mis-characterisation of characters, especially of Goku.
He comes across as Superman-esque in the original dub which is a complete betrayal of the battle-crazed but warm-hearted, lovable hick he is in the JP dub. Kai gets his character 100000x more accurately than the DBZ dub and the viewer is better for it. I need only point to the speech he gives Frieza when he goes SSJ, the Kai version is infinitely better and more accurate.
In terms of music etc. thats all subjective, I hate Faulconers score so don't enjoy watching the OG DBZ dub for that too but I know a lot of people do. I like the score for Kai despite it being plagiarized but I also like the original score by Kikuchi.
I hope Dan and Jeff keep up their enthusiasm for the series and finish it. Also a bonus episode where they watch certain episodes in the original JP dub just to here Dan's immeadiate and probably hateful reaction would be kinda funny. (Japanese dub is legit amazing though no joke, easily my preferred DB/DBZ audio)
The fact Tekken 7 was written off completely in Giantbombs own GOTY best music makes seeing it here oh so satisfying. Great list love here what people think of OST's and love all the choices bar the omission of Cuphead.
