I liked War for Cybertron, because it was a decent co-op game. Had a good time playing it with two friends. Then they went and removed campaign co-op for the sequel, so I didn't even bother to play it. I wish this game had co-op because it looks pretty awesome. Don't care enough about Transformers to play a single player game about them, though.
I imagine that the main reason why Goodwill wouldn't take Rock Band instruments is because what the hell are the going to do with them? Child toilets and trash cans are viable needs for less fortunate people. Rock Band is most certainly not. You need instruments, a console, and a copy of the game. People using Goodwill for its intended purpose aren't going to be in the market for Rock Band.
Dan knowing what a Neti Pot is and even having used one kind of blew my mind. Dan, of all people? Just look at his track record of knowing things. This man did not know how to buy pants a month ago. It's bizarre. I disagree with their opinion of it, though. Yeah, it feels weird pouring the water through your nose for a bit, but man is it great when you get cleared up.
Dan mentioned this as being one of his favorite Quick Looks in today's weird stream thing. And my god this was amazing. Laughed so hard.
This game is still $50 on Steam. What.
Also, one of the Steam reviews is a guy who simply says "I am crazy about this game." Looking at his account, he owns one game, this one, and has 928 hours played. He does not lie.
Man, the developers really seemed intent on showcasing Hayden's butt a lot. Can't say I blame them, but it got a bit ridiculous at times.
Don't get why they would even show Mike grabbing a specific amount of shotgun shells if they just gave him a magic shotgun that he never had to reload. That whole sequence was rather dumb in comparison to the rest of the game. They made Mike too much of an action hero when it would've been a lot more interesting if he was constantly at a disadvantage.
I was going to say that they really went the extra mile to make Emily unlikable with the whole her insulting her dead boyfriend at the end even though he had clearly tried to save her. But then I read these comments and saw someone saying that was affected by the relationship status. I had forgotten those stats were even a part of the game. Makes me wonder now how much those stats affect things, and how much you as a player even have control over them. I imagine they do very little in the grand scheme of things.
Sad that THPS5 sucks. Thankfully I was not that excited for it beforehand since I didn't even know it was coming out so soon until like last week. I also don't have a current gen console, so there's that too.
I've never played Destiny, but you guys talking about how level should be removed from display sounds ridiculous. You equated the light level to WoW's item level. In WoW, sure, there's (currently) 100 levels, but anyone who has played the endgame knows that leveling is trivial in comparison. The "real" game is always at max level. But they still display your level in WoW. Always have. In each new expansion a lot of players reach the new level cap within ~2 weeks, and then your character level does not matter for the rest of that expansion, only item level does. But it still displays your level for the next 2 years or however long the expansion lasts. And even if they say Destiny isn't an MMO, let's face it, it is.
Also, needing to know raid strategies is not that ridiculous. Pretty much anyone looking to seriously raid looks up strategies beforehand, and time commitment is a given. Very little people go into a raid completely blind. Needing specific weapon types does sound kind of lame, but I assume that's just how the game works.
