Believe it or not, the hiccups are completely a mental thing. People swear that they have so many sure-ways to get rid of the hiccups because they believe it, when all you really need to do is to keep thinking to yourself that you don't have the hiccups. It sounds insane, I know, but it's worked for me every time for the past five years, since my high school teacher told me this fact.
I just want to put Dan in a room with all my favorite Prog bands playing at once until he understands why songs like "The Dance of Eternity" and "2112" are so outstanding...
