Funny to watch these again and see Vinny rush to wrap up the video because back then it was considered crazy to put out videos that were longer than 10 minutes. Different times.
The cover art rotating in the corner is distracting in such a weird way. I just saw the cover of 2012 Psychic Force and it sparked this quivering memory in my brain and had to look it up to see gameplay and barely recall that yes, I think I rented this game for the Dreamcast as some point and played it a lot at that time.
Great list, Greg. Sekiro is my game of the year as well. I have been playing a ton of Hades and hope to see that at the top of people's lists when it comes out next year. Best rogue-lite I have played and I have played a fair number.
This game is awesome up until the last boss which is tediously hard. To the point where I almost don't like this game.
I loved the last boss because of how hard he was. He was like the final exam for what the game had taught you. I was also frustrated for a while and ran out of spirit emblems for the first time in the game. However, I ended up beating him with 5 chugs on the gourd left. Everything just suddenly clicked and nearly all his attacks were being parried. It felt so damn good. Made up for the anger in the end imo.
Man, Dan cannot help himself and had to implicitly break NDA to let us know he hates Death Stranding. I did not think he'd like it so not a big surprise but dude needs to act a little more mature. I may also end up disliking the game but I can determine that for myself when people who have similar tastes in games as me do reviews.
You all should get on the Cloth Map train on Patreon. Drew is doing something really special with his videos. His videos are very uplifting portraits of humanity all around the world. The Chernobyl one was not like that but it was beautifully shot and edited. That is how his videos have been trending though. The Brazil ones were excellent including one he did in the "infamous" Favellas. At least go watch them and throw him a like but I think he is worth supporting.
