Microsoft 2 for 2 on overhyping and underdelivering. Lots of promise in here, but outside of Halo, another gameplay showcase without gameplay. Maybe it matters less if they're all on Game Pass either way? I can't say, but this didn't move me at all to get back into Xbox's playground.

Love that they continue to dick around with the E word.

@judgementkazzy: nope.

not sure what you watched. but our duders are consistently bashing anything new.

you don't have to delude yourself. it's okay. these are our duders.

c'est le vie.

If you feel that way, perhaps time to move on. Plenty of cheerleaders on YouTube who will just scream at everything Ubi announces in hopes of getting a handout. Maybe that's more your speed.

I understand the groan when Ubi implied these streams are going to be periodic instead of annual, but I don't hate that idea. The notion of announcing everything at once is just as antiquated as everything else that makes E3 feel old. Not much surprise here but some fun stuff coming and more fun ahead in the next Ubi Direct.

Pray for BG&E2. Can't wait for the book on the arrested development of that one.

Cool it's the 40+ duders being cynical on new games time!

Honestly bizarre to me that you are expressly doing the exact thing you're incorrectly accusing them of doing. Saw lots of interest from these guys and some good questions too, which is what I'd hope for when we're talking about 3 sequels and another battle royale game. It's ok to look forward to something and also express some hope that it won't be more of the same thing we've gotten for the last few years. Didn't see anyone actively shitting on anything until I saw your comment.

Needs a live feed of Jeff watching and being upset, then it'll be a perfect series.

@stephen_von_cloud: there are hours upon hours of them talking about other topics added to this site every single week. Maybe this feature just isn’t for you. Others clearly enjoy it.

Oh, Jeff is being all negative. Shocking.

I enjoyed it, but I wasn't expecting something of the scope and scale of E3 because they clearly said the July one is their big one.

I know it's fun to roll up with this stale take, but this was billed as a gameplay reveal for a brand new console and instead it was 99% cinematic trailers for games we already knew about that will look perfectly good on consoles we already own. It's okay to call that out.Games look promising, especially the new Yakuza (which Jeff was very high on), but story trailers wasn't what drew everyone to tune in.

Oh, please...

Jeff is a borderline professional contrarian at this point. Him liking a game (other than COD) every now and than is a rare sight. It has absolutely nothing to do with "games you like" Jeff hates everything and it starts to get annoying enough to skip forward every time he opens his face.

If you want cheerleaders, youtube has thousands of them all competing for your affiliate clicks. Jeff also expresses his reasons for not liking things (not "hating" -- we aren't 12, so we can speak in nuance) and he likes a hell of a lot more than COD. Your take is lazy, and mostly you just sound mad that someone doesn't like something you like.

jEfF dOeSn'T LiKe gAmEs is such a piss poor stale take. He's bang on about Animal Crossing. That first one on Gamecube was magic, I played it nearly every day for probably two years. But each subsequent game has veered more and more into guided busywork. Now it's just a chore simulator where you're doing busywork to grind for money to pay for the right to do more busywork. Good on you if you like it, but it's perfectly okay to find that boring.
