As someone not aware of the old GS show I was just happy to hear the gang talk MiSTer stuff for a longer period of time. If the intention is to continue talking about old (let's face it, the 360 is now officially retro!) games, I'd be glad to hear more. Plus when working from home, more podcast style programming fits my schedule better when either actually working or doing chores around the house. Good stuff, thank you.
One thing that I was worried before trying out was the background graphics. Stream encoding seems to blur video quality so that characters blend more into the levels behind them. However, trying the game out myself I noticed this is not the case.
@seemah: as someone who hasn't played a single round of any BR game it was pretty straightforward to get into. You start to get to terms with the rhythm of combat and when to move towards the safe zone and when to extend for loot. The UI and sound design is concise so it's easy to keep track of stuff.
The shooting is probably what I have the most trouble with but I'll chalk it to not being used to the game's guns. I don't think there's damage dropoff over distance but the gun accuracy drops remarkably unless you're using a sniper.
