My kids received Super Mario 2 from their grandma yesterday and they are loving it.  It is a little hard for them (5 and 3), but they seem to be having fun.  I hope to get some gameplay in sometime this week and check it out.  It looks like more Mario fun.

After going to two sponsored fan meet ups, for Dragon Quest IX, I don't understand how they could put a three person canvass limit in the game.  This was originally designed for Japan and you would think that they would need to accept more than three at a time.  The whole process of exiting out of canvassing, going to the lounge, saying no to instructions, adding a map, saving, starting to canvass is long and needs to be streamlined in future iterations.
 
Also, Nintendo needs to redo their whole multi-player strategy.  It is draconian and out of date.  In 2010, players should be able to access other players online with minimal restriction and frustration.  Their demographic is aging and their games are implementing MP aspects that require real internet connectivity in order to use these features to their fullest.  It's time to step into now, Nintendo, and give your fans the online experience that they and your games deserve.

I think Dragon Quest IX is my favorite DS dragon quest game.  The implementation of character models that change with your equipment choices, changing back and forth between jobs is a breeze and something I'm actually doing this time around.  Overall, it's my favorite DS RPG.  I can see me playing this one for a long time.

What a relief!  I finally finished the achievement to post a status update for 30 days.  I had to restart the dumb thing three times, but I finally got it.  Now, if only I could get the first comment on a video post....

I've always had a love/hate relationship with fighting games.  On one level, I enjoy them and think, for the most part, they are fun to play.  However, my hate always revolves around trying to remember so many moves and executing them properly.  I guess it just requires a level of dedication that I've never had the patience to put into them.  I think I'll give this game a little more attention to see if I can get good enough to defeat the CPU consistently.  Here's hoping.

I found an extra Bioshock 2 Gamestop Pre-Order Bonus Code to unlock Zigo and Blanche for multiplayer.  I don't know if this thing expires, but I couldn't find an expiration date on it.  So, don't be mad at me if it doesn't work.

I'm really looking forward to Red Dead Redemption.  Everything that I've seen, on Rockstar's RDR Site looks great.  I purchased my copy through Amazon to get the $10 future credit and the golden weapons pack.  I can't wait!
