I was entertained by it. It was dumb in a way I could get behind.

This just made me substantially happier with my White Destiny PS4 purchase. I will definitely be getting it on the PS4. I did buy a Vita almost exclusively for Persona 4 Golden after all.

@bisonhero: Oh dear. I'm even aware of that fact and have failed in using it multiple times. I thank you for your correction good sir. My level of shame is high.

I'm going to have to go with Charles Dickens. It may be unfair as I read it in 5th grade, but David Copperfield was by far the worst book I have ever read. An incredibly uneventful book, about an incredibly uneventful individual, and written in the most long-winded and droll way possible. I read Moby Dick that same year, and David Copperfield made me enjoy it in comparison, and that book has an entire chapter describing random whales and whale sperm so...

Destiny is a day one buy for me. Otherwise I might pick up Shadows of Mordor if the quick look for it ends up looking good, and Forza Horizon was amazing so I'll definitely have to pick that up at some point. I want to play Fantasia, but I don't think the Kinect will work well enough in my tiny apartment so that may be a pass for a bit.

Well with the end of the beta coming I have to say that I am incredibly hyped for the full release. I enjoyed playing PvE in an FPS for the first time in quite a while. The shooting feels great and each weapon has a feeling of weight to it that I really enjoy. The comparisons to Borderlands have some foundation as there is a lot of structure that is rather similar, but the primary difference is the gunplay itself. This is the most important thing to me so I am ecstatic about this fact. I have always wanted to like Borderlands because it does so many things that I should love, but actually playing the game always leaves me cold. Playing Destiny was a joy for every second that I was doing so.

Also if what was shown of the Moon is any indication I am really looking forward to future environments and areas. All of the Hive stuff is super cool, and I'm excited to play the rest of the Moon missions to see all of it.

I also really enjoyed The Crucible. Once I got into it, the similarities to Halo are there to see far and wide. I at first felt that there wasn't quite enough survivability, but once I got used to the feeling of everything I really got into it. I ended up playing about 30 games or so and really enjoyed it.

I do have some fears and they seem to echo what most people are feeling about the game. For one I'm worried there's just not going to be as much content as I'm hoping for. There are the planets they are speaking of which should be cool, but I hope there's more to them then there is for Old Russia. If not I'll still be satisfied, but feeling a bit unfulfilled. The story and dialogue also feel disjointed and kind of nonexistant. The universe they are building seems super interesting and cool to be in, but the way they are conveying what you are doing is a bit forgettable even by MMO standards.

Overall, I am very excited for the game even if I have a few concerns for the final product. It's definitely going to be a long month and a half of waiting.

@natetodamax: Well I found that in general there would only be one or two enemies taking a control point at a time. I was generally able finish both off with one or two shots of the golden gun then still have a little bit of time to look out for other players. This particular style fit the way I like to play quite a bit more as accuracy could also mean you got a free kill from a long way away. Also, that cloak for Hunters from Iron Banner was super sweet.

I did play a bit more of the Titan before the end of the beta though and using that super to clear out a control point is incredibly satisfying. I'm still going to main a Hunter, but I think I'll make a Titan as the character I play more exclusively with my friends.

I have to go with Hunter now that I've played all three. The double/triple jump is exactly how I want to be able to move and I love to control you have with it as well. The melee is probably my least favorite of the three (that Titan punch is satisfying as hell), but a headshot with the throwing knife feels awesome. The golden gun is also amazing when you figure out the correct situations for it. When you know a few guys are taking a control point in Crucible, activating it as you run up then killing all three with three shots is a great feeling.

I have been playing the Titan a bit though and I do like the feel of it a lot. I just really dislike how slow the jetpack feels. The Warlock I just can't feel at all. I dislike the glide though I feel like I'm missing something with how it's supposed to work. So in the end it has to be Hunter for me.

I currently have the PS4/Destiny bundle preordered so when the full game comes out I will be playing it on PS4, but for the time being I only have an Xbox One so will be playing the beta there. My PSN ID and my Xbox Live accounts are both KainLV. I have now requested to join the group though haven't gone so far as to attempt to join one of the clans.

I don't hate soccer by any stretch, but every game I've watched I've found to be incredibly slow and boring. There's generally a few moments of excitement every 15 minutes or so that often amounts to nothing. Don't get me wrong, when time is running out and the game is on the line it can be very exciting, but otherwise the game drags on. I want to like the game, but I fail every time I try.

Baseball and basketball are my sports of choice. The talk of points not mattering in basketball is silly to me. Every basket does not have the impact of each goal in soccer certainly, but each possession matters. The effect of a basket can wildly change the momentum of a game. The San Antonio Spurs won the championship this year playing perfect team basketball. This may not be the prevailing theme of basketball, but it shows what the sport can truly be.

I will make no arguments for baseball. I love it immensely, but I truly appreciate the skill involved between a dueling pitcher and batter. Most people will not and I can certainly understand that.
