Hey,

This is probably working as intended, but this here is a little annoying: the player is (by default) really adamant about filling the whole width of the window and as a result, videos like this exceed the height of the window when the browser is maximized in say, a 21:9 aspect ratio display. Ideally, you'd want the player to be 16:9, maxing out the height of the window and have any extra available width be filled by black bars on either side.

Thanks.

I'll miss the screenshot and VG vinyl threads.

I wonder what type of hat is the most flavorful. A leather one? At least you could cook it a bit before eating it.

This is the real premium content.

Back when Marcus was still publisher PR and just moonlighting on GameTrailers, his anonymous handle was Grumpy McGrump. (We all should know @GrumpyGamer is already taken by Ron Gilbert.) The best thing about Invisible Walls was the balance that Shane and Marcus had, and their arguments were just as interesting as any topic Ryan Davis could stir up, or Brad could filibuster. Since Shane left, I see that balance really swinging as most of the GT crew are, and I use this term in a descriptive and not deliberately insulting sense: "lightweights". None of them balance Marcus especially well.

There are many GB users and smart gamers who joined the Annoyed Gamer forums, on the premise of intelligent discourse about the industry, and Marcus is very intelligent and promotes discourse that disagrees with him intelligently. I follow him on twitter, and he followed me back by choice, not from a follow-back habit. But, I don't make time to go to his site, and I rarely make time to view GT content except for Invisible Walls. I've now unsubbed from IW because it simply isn't saying anything I can't hear elsewhere.

I've tried to put this into words a few times myself, but I never could come up with a summary of why IW is shit these days. I followed that show for right about 190 episodes. Shane leaving was the worst thing that happened to that show. I still enjoy Patrick Morale's reviews and views on games in general (especially when it comes to MMO, [talk which comes up on the rarest of occasions,] because I can relate as someone who played WoW for years - all the way back to vanilla), as well as Bloodworth's take on racing games, but that show has been so dead to me since Shane left. And to be entirely honest, so has GT in general - with the exception of their E3 coverage. They get so few exclusives these days.

I'm thankful I discovered Bombcast, and Giant Bomb.

But I still miss Shane. And I still miss waking up to listen to Invisible Walls on Saturdays.
