Oh man Supermash, the premise might sound great but it was quite obvious they were never going to do it justice. And then you play it and learn that the game deliberately introduces game breaking bugs into its mashes, just to make it even less likely that the result is worth playing.
I didn't care much about optimizing Disco's clothes setups, just picked whatever seemed like it'd help in the situation but what annoyed me was that I couldn't pull out the prybar in the middle of a "dialog" tree since you'd often get the option to pry something open while you're examining it and of course that doesn't really work without the prybar.
During the grand finale I failed a lot of seemingly surefire rolls but I didn't savescum that, just chalked it up as this just being the way my experience works out. I don't think there are more than a handful of checks you actually need to pass to finish the game but doing sidequests or actually getting a good outcome will require passing some of the rolls.
i dont know why everyones mad about the beginning of this video; i just came to say that I am shocked and appalled that no one knows Sarasaland or that Daisy is its princess. This is baseline Mario cannon, folks
Seriously, we're talking back of the box (and in the manual) of Super Mario Land 1 here, not some after the fact additions. Where else would a name like "Sarasaland" come from other than the game with all those practically untranslated names everywhere?
@magnetphonics:Definitely was the cause this time though, you can see the worm tracks in the brickwork.
@subracore: Also very useful to know: Water turns toxic sludge into water. One drop can convert a whole lake of sludge. Spraying a bit of water around is a good way to make the area safe after fighting some sludge-blooded enemy.
"That seems incredibly dangerous" is the theme of this game.
The gods get angered when the Holy Mountain's bricks get too destroyed. Wild worms tulnnel around and sometimes tunnel into the mountain and you get blamed for it. It's a really annoying way to turn a run bad.
