very weird that the symptoms are the lights and the controller, my initial guess would be a power supply issue but it's hard to say. I would say your next steps would have to be narrowing it down, like can you re-create the issue plugging the controller in to another port (I'm wondering if you are maybe plugging into USB on one of the case ports and that loses power? Could explain the lights going out. If so try plugging in to the motherboard's USB ports, or vice-versa). And try duplicating the lights going out playing without a controller plugged in at all. If you have anything else plugged in like a mic, headset, bluetooth adapter, etc that you can unplug while you are testing that helps too. Just try to cause the problem with as few factors to consider as possible. Hope it helps duder.

Wild 9 for the PS1 had spike-throwing as a pretty integral mechanic (you would throw dudes into spikes and then use them as platforms to get across). That will always be the first thing that comes to mind when anyone mentions spike-throwing.

My vote has gotta be for Can of Worms, although I would vote for Johnny tsunami if that wasn’t an option.

@phrosen: Cool to see another Netrunner player around! I would definitely recommend it as well. The amount of choice you have in every turn of the game and the general affordability is really refreshing for someone who may have a stigma regarding card games. Maybe if a bunch of duders were into it we could have a tourney like they did with Magic!

@brackstone: Thanks for the explanation, I think I'll at least give Blood Omen a shot, it sounds worthwhile. I appreciate you sharing your opinion!

Hey guys,

I'm on a Dreamcast binge and really wanted to play Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. This is completely based off of how cool the game seemed from the demo I had as a kid. It sounds like it's a series with a compelling story, though, and I don't know if I miss anything by not playing Blood Omen. Can someone who played Blood Omen and Soul Reaver give me their opinion on it? Will I miss out on story beats by skipping it? Is the gameplay of Blood Omen compelling enough to play through for the first time now, or should I just read the wiki? Thanks!

I wish I could buy this as a cheaper upgrade from P4A. Even if the game has so much content that it 's completely worth the 60 dollars, I'm just used to the model Street Fighter 4 has gone off of for the last few years, and I've been pretty fond of it.

@emofratparty: hey, Zach! I know this bozo in real life! I didn't know you were a duder :o awesome!

To answer the question, I'd be down to see more Giant Bomb Unplugged: Pathfinder, and would totally subscribe to see more of that stuff again. I guess they would need to do something a bit less unplugged if they wanted to incorporate people from 3 different states now, but it could work and be cool, I'm sure.

As a Native American and Redskins fan, I take no offense from Washington's team name, and don't really care if they change it. I totally respect your prerogative to make the change, and would welcome it if it happened to come, though. That being said, I would much rather see Americans acknowledge atrocities such as celebrating men like Andrew Jackson by putting him on our bills over a word in a video game.
