I totally forgot just how close an allegory to the atomic bomb the Genophage actually was. They definitely aren't afraid to wade into the morality of it and don't really lean either way on it, letting the player kind of make up their own mind on it. Mordin seems like he doesn't want to dwell on it because of either his immense guilt over being a part of it (which was pretty rampant among Manhattan Project scientists) or his belief that "the ends justify the means". There isn't an easy answer to any of it and that's probably why his character is so well remembered.
Weird, at around the 43 minute mark I suddenly heard a faint anguished scream that seemed to be coming from the direction of Petaluma, California. Wonder what that was about.
The background dialogue is so fucking good in this game and really helps the world building. I think detail like that is why this game is so replayable and well regarded.
@scherzo: Honestly, I'd rather see that instead of these B-roll episodes. There was a little gold here and there but LONG stretches of "hey, that game". Hearing them discuss the 2013 conferences would be great because (IIRC) that was the last year before GB started just talking over them instead of attending.
