As a pretty decent silver Zerg, I still cringe everytime I end up in a ZvZ matchup because of how rock paper scissors (bling, muta, roach) things seem to end up when both players play standard, and because of how I love to early expand. That first replay against Destiny is a good learning tool on how the build can deal with standard roach play, albeit with far away spawning cross positions.
I've been bummin' around with the 40ish gas build for a couple of practice games, and I'm digging it so far. You really have a shitload of extra minerals to play with, which is super fun.
With some proper micro, yer damn right they'll eat stuff up.
When I face Terrans who know how to micro and shield their marines from banelings, my options are: 1-surround with lings before banelings get within marine rifle range 2-Fungal. Done. 3-Just have superior macro thanks to 14 hatch w/ Muta contain so that I can just A-click a pack of a bajillion lings'n' banes with some ultras thrown in (late game).
Seeing as you're toss. Well...hmm..shit. Storms? Colossi? charge lots? Charge lots w/ blink stalkers? I dunno.
Aw shit, I must've had several windows open and meant to post in the Hyperion Radio podcast thread.
Stimmed marines? Yeesh. Those things'll eat stalkers up. Try Zealots (with speed, if you can get it fast) or High Templars. Too many toss players rely exclusively on colossi for crowd control while neglecting the power of a few well placed storms.
