I agree that the Brad and Jeff are out of touch with the gaming community in regards to what they want out of BL3. However I noticed this trend over the past 4 or 5 years that Jeff just doesn't seem too happy about anything coming out of the gaming industry, and Brad is always quick to be Jeff's Yes man on these conversations. Kind of why I look forward to the Beastcast alot more that the Bombcast. Vinny, Abby and Co. just seem to enjoy what they do as a professional gaming journalist alot more than these guys.
Not to be a contrarian but I don't think it is "unfair" for reviewers to gloss over the "jank". If another quality open world game with so much interconnections can do what Bethesda does without the "jank", then I believe they should definitely be called out on the bugs. However, it still hasn't been done. Although some games have come close (ie. Witcher 3 or MGS V, however these game still don't have the same amount of scope and interconnectedness as Fallout 4 or Skyrim).
