To the people mad that Dan said dumb stuff: Welcome! Dan says dumb stuff. Like shockingly, appallingly ignorant stuff. But he is an inquisitive and curious person who is open to learning, and pushes himself to learn, which is more than 99% of humans are willing to do these days.
This is an excellent point.
