@madbootsy: Surprise! Abby doesn't beat another game! No shade towards Abby, but a friend of mine and myself have a running bet on whether she'll actually finish any games this year outside of little indie games or whatever. The last bet is on Red Dead!
Goku banged Chi Chi in the 10 days before the Cell Games started. While they were just chilling and waiting.
Also ANDROID 18 IS AN ENHANCED HUMAN. I've mentioned this on previous episodes, but I suppose they don't actually read comments for fear of spoilers or something.
She was a regular human child that Dr. Gero kidnapped and experimented and enhanced. She's not a robot in any sense. More like a cyborg.
The first 30 episodes of Super are pretty terrible. You're better off watching the movies which cover the same arcs, Battle of Gods and Resurrection F.
Does the Beastcast not see the irony in their discussion regarding how much of themselves they choose to share and with whom and the whole discussion they had regarding Ninja, who for all intents and purposes has a following probably 10x bigger then any individual member of the podcast?
I'm guessing no, because not sharing things about yourself isn't the same as excluding an entire gender. There is nothing ironic about it. Again, the whole point that they were making is that Ninja doesn't seem like a bad dude, but if he, as the most powerful Twitch user, can't cultivate change, then who can? This isn't the complicated people. And saying "Well, I don't want to talk about my wife on the podcast" is not the same as "I don't want to talk about my wife on the podcast, so, let's just never hire any women or ever have women guests on, cause you just never know what people might say, do you?"
His decision for excluding an entire gender has nothing to do with the gender itself, but the examination into every little thing that people will read into his actions and comments when streaming with said gender. He obviously has no issues with women streamers, but choosing not to collaborate with them because he feels it will invite a whole level of scrutiny and over examination he doesn't feel equipped to deal with seems like a perfectly reasonable response. He isn't obligated to cultivate change or do anything if he feels the stress could put himself or his family at risk.
At no point did I say he was obligated to do anything. Neither did they. I'm just saying your comparison doesn't hold any water. Again, for like, the 5th time, no one on the Beastcast was even slightly rude to Ninja (and again, they repeatedly were sure to say he seems like a very nice guy they just would like to see him do more). I feel like either some of you never actually listened to the podcast, or you just heard what you wanted to.
Go back and actually listen to the podcast again before trying to talk down to people. They very specifically say that as the biggest streamer he has some responsibility to try and incite change. Or at least Abby says that and no one disagrees. The only person to say otherwise is Vinny near the end of the discussion who says he shouldn’t be forced to do it, but it sucks for all the female streamers out there. To which I again reply, he has no obligation aside from his family. If he chooses to work with other streamers female or otherwise, good for him. But if he doesn’t feel equipped to handle that pressure then who are we to say what he has to do?
