This is about as exhaustive a list as I could cobble together for 2013. There are a few glaring gaps were I was not able to play a game before the end of the year. So, just imagine that I replaced Blood Dragon with Brothers.
Honorable DLC Mention
I pretty much love everything about this game. Time travel, alternate realities, sky hooks, and righteous violence. Sure, the ending is cryptic as all hell, but I don't always need all the answers. Best looking game of the year, most fun game of the year.
Cause no trouble.
I wanted a game that was even more crazy than the last, and I got just that. The Saints rule forever.
Rockets into space. Space filled with doomed Kerbals. Marathon sessions are the norm for me.
Being more puzzle than twitch makes this game extremely appealing to me. With the noir story line, I'm hooked.
Deconstruction without condemnation.
This is a game as much as anything else out there. The story hit me right in the heartstrings and the immersion was spot on.
While it reminds me of the game mechanics that I didn't like in the main game, there is enough dumb humor to make this version interesting.
But really, this humor is dumb.
Puzzle games yo. I like em.
I'm really bad at platformers. But damn this game for making me want to take punishment over and over.
