The one that immediately comes to mind for me is something that happened when I was playing the first Knights of the Old Republic game. I was on Tatooine doing my best good-guy-noble-selfless-peace-loving-jedi routine, and to that end had labored to my utmost to broker a peace between some Tusken Raiders and moisture farmers. I'd finally negotiated a peaceful solution and was just about to leave the Tusken encampment when I happened upon a group of Jawas who said they'd been enslaved and begged me to free them. I knew that letting them go would cause every Tusken Raider to turn on me, necessitating my killing them all and destroying the peace I'd done so much to broker. It forced me into the position of weighing the relative worth of people's lives. No matter what decision I made, it would amount to deciding one group of lives was more important than another. In the end I had to conclude the lives of the enslaved were worth more than the slavers, freed the Jawas, and killed every Tusken Raider in the game. The experience left me shaken, to say the least, not just from the violence, but the futile attempt to impose morality on an amoral world.

@tartyron: Many thanks! I'm pretty technically illiterate. I have a Tumblr but, while Giant Bomb's blogging platform isn't perfect, Tumblr is far worse--they won't even let me post ironic Ska videos, the monsters. If you know of a superior blogging platform somewhere out there in the vast wastes of the internet, please let me know. Also, any assistance finding this 'pornography' thing I've heard so much about would be greatly appreciated.

@nuttism: As noted in Giant Bomb's very own Very Online Show, it's probably a bad idea to liberally dispense ad hoc life advice on the internet, so beyond merely extending my sympathies I hope it suffices to link to this scene from the much lauded television show The Wire, which had a profound impact on me, and whose essence I try to take to heart.

Well, a bunch of folks called Breath of the Wild a masterpiece, and Elden Ring is a significant improvement on the BOTW formula, so I guess that makes it a Masterpiece+1, or a Supermasterpiece, or something to that effect.

I really liked the discussion Dan had with Austin and Abby about what constitutes a masterpiece, I kind of with they'd done a podcast dedicated to just that.

While I'm here, might as well lend my voice to the chorus: I'm getting the same "Error uploading images: Image is too large" message, the biggest image I can upload seems to be around 250kb, which is impractically small. Glad you guys are working on it, hope I can go back to crowding your servers with obscenely large images soon.

I bet right about now Red Ventures is starting to wonder what they bought besides a logo and a shitty tricaster.
