I'm working on music theory and am hoping to go get through the 100 level non performing classes at my university and then I'd work on piano and or guitar.

"They seriously need to do some market research on the majority of who is playing their games, and the type of music they listen to"

I believe they do and that would be the very reason you get stuff like the killers instead of music with "balls."

Eagle Rock High School Tour:
"Dope Nose" by Weezer
"The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World
Encore: "Today" by Smashing Pumpkins
I can see why it is the High School tour, certainly music for that crowd. Not a fan of it myself, but I've been out spoken for my taste of music for years.

Big City Kids Tour:
"Roland" by Interpol
"Santeria" By Sublime
Encore: "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers
So far it seems pretty obvious which audiences are being targeted. There certainly are worse modern bands though.

Feelin' Nostalgic Tour:
"Take It on the Run" by REO Speedwagon
"Hold the Line" by Toto
Encore: "Rebel Yell" by Billy Idol
Guilty pleasures, decent variety for some oldies. Rebel Yell is a real anthem.

Vixens Tour:
"Heartbreaker" by Pat Benatar
"All Around Me" by Flyleaf
Encore:"Misery Business" by Paramore
I can respect female musicians, but I think this is all horrible.

Undertow Tour:
"Stinkfist" by Tool
"Lateralus" by Tool
"Schism" by Tool
Tool are overplayed & overrated. They are good musicians and the songs should be fun, but I'm really just tired of hearing them.

Synchronicity Tour:
"Guitar Battle Vs. Sting" (Guitar Career Only)
Encore: "Every Breath You Take" by The Police
Good addition for the fans of "oldies"

Fight the System Tour:
"The Kids Aren't Alright" by The Offspring
The Good Left Undone" by Rise Agaisnt
Encore: "Bleed it Out" by Linkin Park
About as rebellious as a Che Guevara T-shirt from Hot Topic.

QQ Tour:
"Face Down" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
"The Kill" by 30 Seconds to Mars
Encore: "Thank You for the Venom" by My Chemical Romance
Am I really going to have to suffer through these songs?

Rockin the Carnival Tour:
"Dammit" by Blink 182
"When You Heat Stops Beating" by +44
Punk died and with music like this it just keeps looking deader and deader

Neva' Forget Tour:
"Jumpin Jack Flash" by The Rolling Stones
"Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Öyster Cult
Encore: "Light My Fire" by The Doors
Looks like an introduction to some quality.

We Want the Funk Tour:
"Give it Away" by Red Hot Chili Peppers
"Renegades of Funk" by Rage Agaisnt the Machines
Encore: "No Sleep till Brooklyn" by The Beastie Boys Feat. Kerry King
good set/theme. A little overplayed, but what can you expect with such a mainstream game.

Rockin' the Joint Tour:
"Are You Gonna Go My Way" by Lenny Kravitz
"I Don't wanna Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith
Meh for Karvitz and the Aerosmith song can get old.

On Top of the World Tour:
"Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains
"Kickstart My Heart" by Mötley Crüe
Encore: "Spin the Black Circle" by Pearl Jam
Looks fun, now if only they had Soundgarden instead of Pearl Jam we would have the best Seattle bands.

G. Stinger Tour:
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana
"Car Chase City" by Tenacious D
Encore: "Everlong" by Foo Fighters
Tenacious D seem to be an odd one out... and quite a F bombs, is it really going to be in? My previous statement stands for best Seattle bands.

Lands End Tour:
"Animal" by Def Leppard
"Runaway" by Bon Jovi
Encore: "Paradise City" by Guns N' Roses
Seems like the 80s never want to die, at least it isn't all bad.

Doin' it Different Tour:
"Song for the Dead" by Queens of the Stone Age
"Vasoline" by Stone Temple Pilots
Encore: "Assassin" by Muse
Alternative rock fans should be pleased... a shame what has happened to the genre.

Hootin' and Hollerin' Tour:
"The Boys Are Back in Town" By Thin Lizzy
"Life in the Fastlane" by The Eagles
Encore:"Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd
More "classics," seems like the set list is getting a lot from classic rock stations. (quotes represent my disdain for the label of the genre, not bands)

All Pissed Off Tour:
"Here to Stay" by KoRn
"Dragula" by Rob Zombie
Encore: "Bat Country" by Avenged Sevenfold
Oh good, angst... Why did Rob Zombie get stuck in there?

Here Me Roar Tour:
"10,000 Fists" by Disturbed
"Duality" by Slipknot
Encore: "Toxicity" by System of a Down
 Radio metal, goodie [/sarcasm]

S.D.M.F. Tour:
"Guitar Battle Vs. Zakk Wylde" (Guitar Career Only)
*Encore: "Demise of Sanity" by Black Label Society
 I'm anticipating awesome shredding

Fathers of Metal Tour:
"Don't Talk to Strangers" by Dio
"Heaven and Hell" by Black Sabbath
Encore: "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne
Awesome, we get some Dio! Now if only they didn't go with Ozzy song that everyone already knows.

Making Progress Tour:
"The Spirit of Radio" by Rush
"Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd
Encore: "Pull Me Under" by Dream Theater
 I came

Eruption Tour:
"Beat it" by Micheal Jackson Feat. Eddie Van Halen
"Hot for Teacher" by Van Halen
Where is Eruption? Did their heads explode when trying to chart it?

Tooth Fang & Claw Tour:
"Guitar Battle Vs. Ted Nugent" (Guitar Career Only)
Encore: "Stranglehold" by Ted Nugent
 Gotta love the motorcity madman

Decades of Metal Tour
"Warriors of Time" by Black Tide
"Leather Rebel" by Judas Priest
Encore: "Hallowed be Thy Name" by Iron Maiden
Up the Irons \m/, they should have kept with the NWOBHM theme.

Livin' in a Nightmare Tour:
"Angel of Death" by Slayer
"Tornado of Souls" by Megadeth
Encore: "Master of Puppets" by Metallica
Thrash at its best, seems like they actually do have some real metalheads @ Neversoft

Legends of Rock Tour:
"Johnny B. Goode" by Chuck Berry
"The Wind Cries Mary" by Jimi Hendrix
Encore: "Purple Haze (Live)" by Jimi Hendrix
Set list made a good turn around half way in. Good way to end it.

Some comments/opinions of the songs. I was getting really disappointed with the songs near the beginning.

They are power metal, and one of the better bands of the genre. I almost saw them a few months ago, but I missed that concert. They certainly would be difficult/fun to play.

""IT.IS.THE.PAINKILLER." is not an actual line from the song buddy. Then I also wouldn't put SOAD near the level of Dream Theater & Priest.

Battery is an amazing song, one of the best (if not the best) on Master Of The Puppets. However, something from Ride The Lightning (best album IMO) would be awesome. Blackened, Creeping Death, or Orion would be great songs if you really wanted a challenge. Battery has got a lot of speed and is certain to give your fingers a workout, and any real Metallica fan should not be disappointed with the selection.

I guess if all you do is listen to radio metal/rock then I could see being really disappointed.
"
blackened is a dlc already ;d
"
I only play with friends, so I'm not exactly on top of what all the songs are let alone what has been released as dlc.
I'm guessing it is a challenging song, it has a lot of odd time signatures and frequent changing of them.

"Wow disagree completly, i absolutely love this song, Angus' guitar hits you right in the gut, and the lyrics are really hysterical with the parody of the bible, oh and Bon Scott is too funny in the video to the song, how can you not just absolutely love this song,

I personally prefer the live version from If You Want Blood You've Got It

Starcraft alpha

wow that looks like it was probably a modified warcraft engine

I don't think we have to worry about Stacraft II being awesome, it is going to be great game, or greatest game (<3 Colbert).
Now if only it won't consume every aspect of my life when it comes out...

Also I think RTS of the Decade might be a more appropriate title for the thread :P.
