I've played about every game released in the last 7-8 years with roguelike/lite in its description and man, I wish I could get into Dead Cells the way everyone else seems to. I have no major issues with the game, but I will play one run every few months and when I die I have no urge to immediately start another one. With Rogue Legacy I would play again and again and again. And though I'm not going to jump into this one until it's done, it looks like I'd do the same with this.

I get that being not-the-best in a franchise that has some of the best games of all time makes a difference, but I will never understand the hyperbole around how awful Skyward Sword and Mario Sunshine are.

It's crazy how much things change, and how much they stay the same.

Also Lost Odyssey was actually a very good game.

As soon as they announced Hitman 2 want going to be episodic I was bummed, because I knew it meant we weren't getting as much Hitman content on the site. This video was so good, but it only left me wanting more. I think I could watch them play Hitman all day.

Everybody here getting mad about RDR2. I'm sitting here all mad Dan continues to trash the PSP. I don't know if there's a more underrated game device in history.

Aww man I haven't watched this but I was incredibly psyched when I saw this in the upcoming videos list because I had it in my head that, after the conversation on the Beastcast, it would be something like Alex guiding Dan through Civilization (which is an AMAZING concept for a series btw) and this isn't that? I guess that's my fault for assuming, but man.

Ben was unrelentingly negative and cynical in this episode. Amico, R-Type (which honestly is still a great game), Vita, wet naps. Just shit on everything. I think the jaded game industry attitude is starting to take over already.

I'll echo that Persona 5 is the obvious no-show.

Look. Cuphead looks like those old things and that's neat as hell. Really just amazing.

But man is Persona something to see and hear.

I think the audio/video review can work, with tinkering on the length/focus. However if this is the template for written reviews going forward I have to wonder why you'd bother. Is it just to give a quote for Metacritic?

@tonicbh: Sonic being even the second worst fighting game was already a gross bastardization of science. I ain't going to claim the game is a masterpiece, and one can only take this list so seriously, but seeing the list of games above it is insane.
